I am in Ireland like you BPA but I can use a UK IP address (work related access). It appears that I am not pulling down the latest version of iPlayer so I am currently on version 1.49 and the current version is 1.52. When I 'un-enable' and then re-enable the BBC player version 1.49 is what comes back and there are no other versions visible. The repository I have enabled is http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/repo-short.xml. I have a Mac and the OS is OSX 10.11.6 Could I be using the wrong repository? Scanning the forums I haven't come across a reference to a newer repository if there is one. On high UK bit stream 32kbs,CBR, aac is being indicated but no sound coming through On lower outside UK bit stream 96kbs, CBR, aac is being indicated and sound is coming through. Skip back options and BBC iPlayer Extra are working. The non-Uk streams are perfectly fine but it would be good to use the higher streams and if nothing else to understand why the issue may have occurred. All was working well and then it stopped a few weeks back. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Alexa voice control (development thread)
I would absolutely love to be involved with testing this. I currently have Alexa running on 2 RPi 2s and 1 RPi3 and have a Dot on the way. Those Pi's are also acting as squeeze clients along with three other Pi zeros. I also use OpenHab, Hue, Z-Wave, and some ESP8266 nodes around. I found your app looking for the opposite control of having some of the Hue and custom pixel strips I have change based on the song title that plays (was hoping SB announced a new track starting). Allowing the family more control of music around the house by voice would be excellent.. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IQaudio digi+ Experince and Issues - HELP
I can't help about the syncing, sorry. I never bother with it. I do know that syncing the "official" Logitech players results in the lowest common denominator output being used on all the players, e.g. 1 Boom synced with a Radio and a Touch will result in all three using the max boom bit rate for output (or something like that). Other can explain it better than myself. I don't know if the same rule applies to raspberry pi. I'm using a pi2B as LMServer at the moment (running LMS installed from the blog I linked to) It's been rock solid. At another place I run a rpi3 as LMS Server. I have found the rpi3 to handle both server and player with ease. My inclination is to use the rpi3 as standalone (wired) server and any of the rpi B+ or B2 as single players. Or keep one of the rpi3 for muckin abaht wiv ;):p Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] squeezelite and local tts working on windows but not on Ubuntu
Ok, I now tested this with processing the wav file with sox with the following arguments: /usr/bin/sox tts.wav -c 2 -r 44100 tts.mp3 before passing it to lame (which, in fact, shouldn't be needed anymore, right, as sox already outputs a mp3 file?) and delivering it in the web response. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IQaudio digi+ Experince and Issues - HELP
Thanks Ronnie, I'll take a look at the blog you linked to. Although I think I've finally managed to narrow down the pops that i'm getting with when using the iqaudio digi+ setup. I noticed this evening that there were no pops and I realised that they only seem to be there when I sync the audio between more than no player. so I assume this is not a problem with the digi+ but a problem somewhere else in software and network maybe?? The second pi that I am syncing to is a rpi2 with a USB DAC and a USB wifi dongle attached. Could these be causing some problems? One more question, I still have a spare rpi2 so would it be better to have one pi just dedicated to being my squeezebox server? rather running server and player on the same rpi3? mattpitts74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66347 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Alexa voice control (development thread)
Hi Jim That's the plan, but first test is going to be general installation, basic play/pause control and an assessment of the response times based on the additional transactions necessitated by the improved security. Got some more work completed recently so just need to tidy up code now and add in a transaction timer and I'll be ready to release to the testers who've signed up. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Thanks, I just realized about the LMS GUI, I haven't really been using it so it's good to know. I've been trying out the Squeezer app (android) and whenever I go to the Playlist search option under the youtube plugin it only shows me a (seemingly) random list of playlists, and filling out the search box at the top only gives me results from my own media (not youtube results). Is there an android app that you recommend for this plugin, or am I missing something within the Squeezer app? Following and very excited about the potential of this! Will we be able to request specific music (artist, album, playlist, etc.) from our collections? I'll help, if possible. I have an SB3 hooked up to a whole-house audio system. Each room has a wall panel to cut the system on in that location, but the ability to control play through my Echo Dot is very exciting! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi pippin, Now it went faster than expected. We actually already implemented a JSON interface in our newest beta (just click the beta update in the web interface of any M2P device). You can then immediately start using the interface in the Audioplayer plugin for the equalizer. All necessary documentation can be found under "http://[m2p-devicename]/apidoc; and all the equalizer values are accessible with the command "http://[m2p-devicename]/plugins/max2play_settings/controller/Squeezeplayer.php?apijson=1_equalizer=1;. This should be enough to help you utilize the equalizer in your great app. Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Trying to compile squeezelite / jivelite on/for orangepiplus2e/Armbian
I might have made a mistake going for tcz-jivelite. The regular build of jivelite from Ralph Irving's repositories compiled and I can load the GUI, but it doesn't find squeezelite, which I installed from the Armbian deb package. I'm currently compiling squeezeplayer and will then try to install jivelite again, building against the pre-installed squeezeplayer. To be honest I'm still quite confused as to how all this fits together to make a working Squeezebox Touch-like environment (plus native-DSD support). Squeezelite does seem like a prerequisite to have DSD (and maybe the highest bitrate PCM) supported over USB. Any tips or pointers much appreciated. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] squeezelite and local tts working on windows but not on Ubuntu
I think the problem is 16Khz sampling and mono (1 chan). To make a "safe" file - choice is either at source resample and make 2 chan before creating the file (e.g. sox before lame) or else at playback IIRC you can tell squeezelite to resample upwards as well as say 16kHz is acceptable. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106623 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Sampling rate: 16.0 kHz Could you please check the LMS log, too? That seems like a very low sample rate.
