Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Sorry, no suggestions. 7.9.1 might fix it but I don't know. I believe NOT using separate lists for artists and albumartists fixed it or something like that, I always forget the details. The difference to other apps or the web UI is that iPeng uses the API to get artist (and other) information while most other apps let the server compose the full information as a text but I can't do that because then I'd lose a lot of details I need and also id have to use the preformatetted string which doesn't fit. There are a few dedicated threads on the issue somewhere here on the forum --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Forgot to mention that, this is on the LMS 7.9 stable release. While viewing an album, the Composer tag info (when there is any) is showing instead of Artist for compilations as well as single-artist albums, etc. If it's a bug I guess I'll look at a 7.9.1 build next. I thought it was strange though, because I don't see that on my Android devices or through the Web UI. That's what made me think there was a setting I missed somewhere. > In any case should the composer be shown if that's what you browse by You mean if I go through Composers to look for albums? Just to clarify, that's not what I did. I browsed by New Music, Compilations, and Random Albums and get the behavior I mentioned. Any other suggestions/tips? Thanks! This is very old, but it may help you. http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Multi_Library_plugin Once installed you should see "multi library" under the 'extras' menu item and go from there. LMS 7.9.1 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 17.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Touch & EDO. 2nd Touch standard. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Official Spotify plugin / Spotify Protocol Handler suddenly no longer working
mherger wrote: > ...Please disable all 3rd party plugins, MusicIP etc. and try again. If > that solves the issue, add them back one-by-one. I found I had time to do this today. In fact I also disabled a load of 'default' plugins I never use. But it made no difference - the Web UI remained impossibly slow, and, for example, failed to load Spotty>Playlists at all. So, I thought I'd try the Classic interface instead of the Default interface. The Classic interface works perfectly (including MusicIP mixes! ;) ), pages load normally, and I can access and play from Spotty's menu items. So the problem is clearly with the default interface - but fixing that is not something I know how to do. However, as I rarely use the web UI, and can do everything I'd ever need to via the Classic interface, I'll stick with that. Actually, it all feels very familiar - just like old times! ;) Best regards, and thanks for your help. (PS I continue to find Spotty just brilliant.)
