Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.1 packages
Unfortunately I won't have time to look into the transcoding issue with LmsRepack in the near future. I will be traveling a lot and time at home is limited. If anyone is willing to pick this up, please do! See 'Github' (https://github.com/grofweg/LmsRepack) for info. Would you have any information as to what to do with those files? I can easily update the LMS files. But what then? How would one create an installable package? For now I updated the LmsUpdate packages to 7.9.1. These packages have no transcoding issues AFAIK and are up-to-date, but need to be installed manually! How so? Could you please give a brief explanation for a noob like me as to what the difference between the two is? Or point to a posting which does so already? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Your gave the ReadyNAS Duo to a friend, so how can you play files from it? I'm puzzled. Notwithstanding that, LocalPlayer has an option (Direct Local File Access) to play files from a local device. [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP Headless not running in Fedora 26 Linux - script/systemd issues
Has anyone had any success running MusicIP headless in Fedora 26? After doing a clean install of Fedora, I'm unable to get the scripts to run. I have tried running the scripts from /etc/init.d as is, attempted to modify them to work, tried to convert the scripts to pure systemd scripts that don't call the original scripts, and converting them to systemd scripts, but without success. I am by no means an expert in Linux, but have had a functioning LMS server on Fedora 4 through 14 with MusicIP for 12 years. Most of the errors have been "file not found" in referencing the original scrip in many locations in many variations, but I've been able to get through these. Much tougher has been the problem where the unit loads and deactivated it self right away. I have tried service types of simple, forking and one shot. The only way I can get it to run is on the command line, changing to the /MusicMagicMixer directory, and running ./MusicMagicServer start/stop. When working with systemd to run the scripts in /etc/init.d, my process looks something like this: sudo systemctl disable /etc/systemd/system/mmserver.service sudo nano /etc/init.d/mmserver sudo systemctl enable /etc/systemd/system/mmserver.service sudo systemctl daemon-reload At this point, either: reboot Or: sudo systemctl start mmserver.service I use a similar approach when the systemd script calls the init.d script After many days of working with this, I'm at an impass. Anyone had any success with this, or have any suggestions? Would you be able to install _any_ 3rd party plugin at all? This either is a bug in LMS' plugin manager (which would surprise me - after all these years...), or your configuration. How did you move the cache folder? Could you revert to the default values and try again? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
If i try to activate the Spotty Plugin my LMS will not start anymore. Not at all? Tried more than once? Did you check your server.log file? All ich can do then ist a new manuell Installaton of the LMS 7.9.1. You should never need to install LMS again. Next time this happens, could you please check whether there's a process called "spotty*" (could have an annex like -86_64 etc.)? I read that we must install *IO::Socket::SSL * but i'm not sure where or how i should do this on my NAS DS214. I'm a rookie in Linux ... and don't know any programm commands. If you're running the latest DSM then you should be fine here. No need to install that module yourself. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Photo Gallery Plugin v1.0
Hi Flo I've disabled it from the repository as it's been abused to spy on user's installations. Do you plan to enable it again in the future? No, I don't plan to put it back before any time soon. But I've sent you a PM with instructions how to install it manually. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
Nop. After the donwloadserver update from michael i tried again but no luck. Everything looks ok but after suggested restart of LMS there is no spotty installed. Anyone another suggestion beside a fresh reinstall of PcP with LMS (Really not waiting for that option)? There's almost no real reason to re-install LMS. Ever. Go to Settings/Advanced/Logging, enable DEBUG for server.plugins and plugin.extensions, check the box at the top to make the change stick after reboot, apply. Then re-try to install. Reboot when asked. Then provide your server.log (find the link for the .zip file in Settings/Information). -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
1.3.1 solved my problem with my Synology Disk Station. Thanks so much! Good to know, thanks for the feedback! PS Wondering as first run required connecting from a Spotify app, whether it is possible to connect to player from app instead of from SqueezeCenter? I still hope to eventually be able to add Connect. But I'm still far from there... -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
