Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?

2017-09-18 Thread chaot4ever

Unfortunately I still have the same problem with an i686 Synology
Server: Spotty and Soundcloud are playing, but with Mixcloud the menus
with cover etc. are working, but playback fails. It starts with
"Streaminfo loading" and then comes "stopped"!

First off I'd start with a full wipe & rescan. There are tons of errors
complaining about the database being locked. Then enable INFO logging
for player.source, try to play a track, then upload the server.log file
once again, telling us around what time you did run the playback test.

That's almost as if you had copied/pasted my announcement... Yes,
Spotify Connect isn't implemented yet. Nobody ever claimed it did. I
don't know why everybody is thinking it suddenly should be available.
(not to mention that many will/would be frustrated with the limitations

I haven't seen your previous posts or are up-to-date on your problem,
but I assume you have tried to get Spotty working and has given up?

You don't loose anything in your Spotify account by uninstalling Spotty.
Your spotify albums and playlist are in your Spotify account and are
also accessible from other Spotify supported devices, like for example
smartphones.
If you cancel your premium subscription, but continue as a Spotify user,
you definitely wont get Spotty working on LMS.

Thanks for your great work on this plugin Michael.

I notice that unless I happen to be playing a track via the LMS app, the
spotty binary isn't running. If I start the binary manually at my
console my squeezebox appears in spotify connect - I can connect and
play a track, lots of unprintable characters appear on my console.

Nothing appears in the server log, where should I look next?

Thanks for the info. I'll remove the old preview app from all my

Thanks for the peristent notification in the latest beta! Makes life
much easier for my use cases :)

One question: does the mute/pause on call option mute/pause *all*
players? If so, would it be possible to *only* mute the "current" player
on a phone call instead of all of them? I've got 5 players in my house
and muting them all is overkill. I suppose it could be generalized to a
group instead of a single player to handle players that are near to me.
Hmmm... thinking about the general use case makes me think this is more
complex than a simple "mute current player" but muting *all* players is
definitely overkill IMHO

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Home automation app

2017-09-18 Thread Hydro

Hi

Two year ago I built a plugin to control squeezebox from my home
automation system.

It work great but I didn't want my HA to ask status every seconds so I
made a plugin for LMS to send informations to my HA.

Thank to mherger and other people who help me to achieve this !

Since that I changed my HA software but I rewrote the two plugins.

Here the results !

On mobile :

https://i.imgur.com/g893tSK.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/dUTZWcc.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/v3BXd0W.jpg

On desktop :

https://i.imgur.com/MFGC25j.png
https://i.imgur.com/Z4g614c.png

So my home automation system allow me to build my own website so I
include Squeezebox inside. Everything is responsive.

On desktop with got half slide (you can slide from playing/playlist to
playlist/menu) and on mobile there are 3 slides.

First slide show the current song.
Second slide show the current playlist.
Third slide show the menu to browse artists/albums/songs or to
synchronize.

If someone is interested I can explain how it works.

Thank again to all person that help me to achieve this !

Sorry, the "Sources" menu is currently in a mockup-state.

The current functionality is limited to displaying all connected
players, with current playing tracks and functionality for start/stop,
volume etc.
The idea is not to replace all functionality of the standard skin, but
only cover only the most common usage patterns (I'm not even sure there
will be initial support for a local library, since I think most people
use online services anyway).
Navigation between different players is supposed to work (including
swipe).

I guess that is what is next in line - to hookup selection of media
files / sources somehow (radio, podcasts, spotify etc).
Also, a simple/quick way of doing player synchronization - I think this
takes too many clicks in the standard ui (maybe emulate virtual
players/player groups client side).

Pull requests are welcome!

2017-09-18 Thread Antoniop

Hi,
Very interesting initiative !
Is your software intended to replace the MusicDNS ? That's true that the
fingerprinting is a bit tedious, especially if you start from scratch
and your MusicIp server in on a RPI !
Actually I'm on Linux, I also have a windows virtualbox, but's a bit
slow...
I've got myself about 17k tracks fingerprinted, not much, bot a lot from
popular artists and a bit of classical music, could be interesting. But
I have, 1/3 Mp3, 1/3 ogg and 1/3 flac.
I'll give a try anyway to your program, if I can help.
BTW, does anyone know what happened to the software author ? (who is it
?)
I also asked myself it it would be legal to decompile it, since it's
seems to be abandonware, but, ok, it's another topic.

Ahm... that's part of the latest Spotty plugin already. But I'm still

much help from others) to get it done... If you have found a simpler
procedure than the one I used, I'd be happy to learn about it.

Could you give me some hints how to proceed? e.g. when I call spotty
with only the -n , it gives an error:

What do you want to do? If it's using Spotify with your SB, then all the

2017-09-18 Thread hestbank

The live OnAir text which gives the name of the currently playing track,
eg on BBC Radios 2, 3 and 6, seems to have stopped working properly. It
has been working perfectly for me for a few months since the deselecting
"Always display station icon" issue was discussed a few months ago. This
is the case with all my displays eg. Touch, LMS Web Page and Squeeze
Control for Windows.

Sometimes in the LMS web page if I switch between Radio 2 and 6 and back
again I briefly see the track name and artist but it quickly reverts to
the generic programme description.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin

2017-09-18 Thread Michael Herger

Since early September this year, I have subscribed the Hi-Fi Streaming
option (CD quality).
I have switched the set-up into LMS from MP3 to CD as needed.

Could you please enable debug logging for plugin.qobuz
(Settings/Advanced/Logging (Journalisation?)), check the "keep settings
on restart" box at the top of the Logging page, then restart LMS and
navigate to a Qobuz menu. This should give us some information about
your account in the server.log. Please post the file once done.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mobile / responsive skin

I started to develop a mobile-friendly/responsive skin, maybe this is of

Cool! I've been hoping to see a mobile friendly skin for a long time.
Please let me know if you need help.

use to someone else, so I'm posting the link here:

Currently only tested on Android/Chrome.

Should the navigation work? There's a dropdown which allows me to switch
"Sources". But there are entries of services I don't even use myself?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-09-18 Thread Michael Herger

I haven't seen a description. I have auto update turned on and when I
enter the PLUGINS page it prompts for a restart without the list of
plugins being visible. Where would the descriptions be?

Ok, that might be a limitation. Point taken.
