I -think- the change made to work-around a SoundCloud issue might be responsible for this. Do you mind editing some code? If so in browse-page.js remove lines 970-973, i.e. remove: Code: if (command.command.length>4 && "playlist"==command.command[1] && ("play"==command.command[2] || "add"==command.command[2] || "insert"==command.command[2]) && command.command[3]==("menu:"+command.command[0]) && item.presetParams && item.presetParams.favorites_url) { command.command=["playlist", command.command[2], item.presetParams.favorites_url]; } ...restart LMS, clear browser cache, and re-test. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty: playback of Ogg 320 kb/s
I know nothing about rust, Welcome to the club! :-D I also assume that you use the "pipe" option of the audio backend, so I Yes, I do. was wondering if the "decoder" created from "VorbisDecoder" could not be replaced by a "PassThrough", not use normalisation of course and all the rest stay the same (use "pipe") and then we'd save a decoding/encoding process. I would gladly do that but don't understand rust syntax :-( I tried to do that at some point, but gave up. Because I might know a little bit about rust, but not enough... But I've seen your mail on the librespot project. Let's see whether this gives anything. That would indeed be great. Main changes: - Fix buttons staying in 'hover' state with touch devices. - When used on a mobile device, clicking on 'browse' bottom navigation button will go back in browse history. - Add "Show track information" to now-playing image context menu. - Pulse queue item when 'Scroll To Current' button is pressed. - If title, artist, or album are empty, don't send 'undefined' to MAI. - Don't load a translation if LMS set to English and browser locale is 'en-us' - Use params.item_id for Radio id's and not favorites_url, as BBC iPlayer plugin sometimes returns duplicate urls. - When showing errors, also show command that caused the error. - Add "?debug=true" to URL to add request/response debug message to browser's console. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As stated many times, I need much more info. I need to know what request was sent to LMS - for this you need to look at the network tab in your browser's developer tools. Look at the POST messages, and ignore any "status" or "serverstatus" messages (these are sent frequently. On firefox; open developer tools, select 'Netwok', click on a POST entry, you should now have message details on the right, select 'Params' in that tabs on the right, this will allow you to see what was sent, if its a "status" (or "serverstatus") select the next POST on the left, etc. For example, I see the following when clicking on the |> icon in to toolbar: Code: id1 methodslim.request params[ ] 0 aa:aa:b5:38:e2:d7 1 [ ] 0 playlistcontrol 1 cmd:load 2 album_id:7034 However, just tried as you describe - and it is working just fine for me. Would be interested in what message you see when clicking that icon. slartibartfast wrote: > Clicking on any track in the album allows it to be played but there is > also no option to "play album from selected track" This must be connected with the above. Just found a strange bug (if it is one). 1. Do a search in "My Music" 2. Choose one of the tracks found and tap on the three dots then select "more". 3. Tap on " Album" and you will see the track list. 4. Tap on the "play" icon at the top right of the screen and you will see "Something went wrong! (Error: Network error)" Clicking on any track in the album allows it to be played but there is also no option to "play album from selected track" Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Best player for macOS, for remote connections
I don't actually believe it's dropouts due to bandwidth restrictions; the audio from SoftSqueeze has always been clear as a bell with no bandwidth limiting. I've experimented with limiting the bandwidth to 256kb for squeezelite and SqueezePlay and it made no difference, the pops and crackles were still present. However, since fixing my SSH tunnel to also forward 3483 UDP as well as TCP, SoftSqueeze has been stable and has retained its good audio quality. Until it crashes again I'll keep using it. Thanks for your advice folks. richboyce's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17681 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110275 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Best player for macOS, for remote connections
richboyce wrote: > > I guess this build of SqueezePlay uses squeezelite to play the audio? > Your conclusion is incorrect. SqueezePlay is it's own player...no squeezelite there. The easiest way to overcome the dropouts for a remote player is to install lame on your LMS server and enable bandwidth limiting for the remote player. If you want to experiment For squeezelite you can try the -a option. Start at -a 120 For squeezeplay you need to set the USEPALATENCY environment variable again start at a value of 120. See the 'Squeezeplay for Mac OS thread' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?96328-ANNOUNCE-SqueezePlay-for-Mac-OS) on how to do this. Thanks for the responses! mrw wrote: > On macOS I am using Ralph Irving's updated version of SqueezePlay > 7.8.0r1101. But not through a tunnel ! Worth trying ? > > https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezeplay/osx/ I now have SqueezePlay working - I had neglected to forward UDP 3483, so SqueezePlay couldn't connect successfully. Now resolved by following this guide: https://stackpointer.io/network/ssh-port-forwarding-tcp-udp/365/ - basically you need to use socat to put the UDP packets through a TCP tunnel. However, the pops and crackles I had with squeezelite are also present with SqueezePlay... I guess this build of SqueezePlay uses squeezelite to play the audio? chill wrote: > Could be worth enabling logging to see if there's anything obvious when > you get pops and crackles. I'll experiment a little more. richboyce's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17681 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110275 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
