should make it less confusing.
I recommend selecting -> Dynamic Queuing
NOT selecting -> MusicIP Vintage Mode
The rest of the settings are personal taste :)

If I use the Spotify app (which I just find easier to browse with) and
kick off a playlist to one (or a group of) my players with Spotify
connect it seems to play so many tracks and then stop playing out of the
devices.

I'm also having this issue with stuttering and jittering sound from
Tidal, but going through mysqueezebox.com (using FLAC). It appears only
with newer albums or tracks, and I first noticed the problem sometime

Look in :4040 at the ngrok log. Theyre still showing, which means the
skill is still discovering them. Powered down players dont disappear
from LMS.

SSH into the pi and deleted cach.db.
Restarted LMS and added the repo to the Additional repositories box

You want the audio out to play sometimes from the TV and sometimes from
LMS. I presume you do not need it to mix the TV and LMS audio
simultaneously ?
If that is the case use the basic ALSA device for audio out

about getting less "chaotic" results, I for one use MusicIP filters that
you can then select in SugarCube's settings (on Player level)
You could also try Recipes, ...
about picking the first choice, have a look a the "SugarCube wobble"
setting.

I think the "-C 5" probably does nothing except close the dmix device
between uses - so always handle the first stream correct but not when
mixing. Not really part of a full solution.
You may need to use "-a" to restrict the sample size for Alsa if sample
size is the problem with dmix.

I have squeezebox servers in 2 locations. So I configured 2 LMS servers
in Squeeze Ctl.
My concern is everytime I change location I have to go in the settings
to select the right one. If not I get a 'connect' button which does not
work because the other server is selected...
