Yes - unfortunately, my home network setup no longer has an "always-on"
network server (we now just use

I have the same issue.
Actually i am running LMS 8.1.0 on a Synology DS220+ as Docker
container.
Works flawless, but when i use Squeezelite X in Win 10 20H2 i have the
same dropouts mentioned here. Very high cpu load, 30 seconds dropout.
Same on my notebook and PC.

Ah, got it. I've neglected to research what "Portaudio" was, and now I
see... I meant squeezelite, btw, and I've been using -a :0.
I assume you have no plans of actually using MacOS' CoreAudio directly,
instead of using the cross-platform Portaudio library? In that case,
perhaps I should
Ok I solved it by simply replacing /tmp with this link in ./ and now it
works
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 Jan 17 14:41 tmp -> /mnt/USB/HD_c1/tmp
Thanks!

Manual update over that version worked fine for me, no settings were
lost.

For squeeze*lite* on MacOS if you set -a :0 then coreaudio will pass the
stream to the audio device unmolested.
Last time I checked there was no exclusive mode available through
portaudio only pro mode which aims to avoid resampling if possible (0)
or playnice (1)
However, there's no mention
Hi
Yes I know, I already have a raspberry pi working using max2play. This
is just my challenge for the week :)

That looks like a... non-standard installation? What spotty helper are
you using? Did you have to install the legacy helpers?
Maybe enabling logging for

Hi,
I connected my SBT to my AVR via optical out. In spotty settings I set
quality to extreme (320kbps).
32988
When playing a song LMS shows it as follows:
32989
Is this the best possible setting for the sound quality? Or is there
anything that can be improved?
In Tidal for example there
