Could you try to have the squeeze2cast helper run on another device for a while, typically a Linux box? a Pi would be perfect. It does *not* have to run on the same computer than LMS. You can transfer the castbridge.xml file if you want to, but I assume that default would do well, so all you have to do is launch it. If you can do that, then I'll make a version with debug symbols and we'll know where is crashed using gdb. It's more complicated with Windows. Thank you for a great plugin and APK. Would it be possible to add a Power button for the currently selected player on the main screen? Currently, as far as I can see, you have to use the available players drop down list and then tap the power icon adjacent to the current player. It would be easier if a Power button icon could be added to the main screen (including on the APK). Maybe to the right hand side of the name of the currently selected player situated at the top right of the header bar. Thanks again for the excellent work. Thank you for the 0.4 update! Unfortunately, I'm also still having problems playing from it. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
I am unable to get Chromecast Bridge to work on my old 2012 R2 Server, a new 2016 Server, and a clean build of Windows 10 (with no changes from default other than installing LMS). I believe I have followed the instructions to the letter, but every time Chromecast Bridge attempts to generate a config file, it fails with: !! ERROR LOADING CONFIG FILE ! I have seen posts saying this is a firewall problem, but I have allowed the program "squeeze2cast-win.exe" in the Windows Defender firewall. I have tried disabling the firewall altogether, and also disabling all Windows Defender features, as well as adding an exclusion for the C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox folder. I am running the latest version of LMS (recently updated to 8.1.1) and Chromecast Bridge v1.46.4. If I create the file manually, the plugin is able to delete it, so it has permissions to the file / folder. How can I avoid the error message and generate the required config file? Many thanks. [SlimDevices: Plugins] ARM based substitute for MusicIP?
My current system uses the lmscommunity container for LMS along with ptoulouse/musicip for the Don't Stop the Music plugin. They run on an old HP server based on the vortexbox software but with a few years worth of tweaks and additions. I would like to move to a lower power, probably ARM based, system such as the Odroid N2+ running Ubuntu but the deal breaker is MusicIP. Almost all the casual listening the system is used for starts with someone picking a single track and letting it run from there. I've found some threads here and posts on the wider web that show that MusicIP has been made to run on Raspbery Pi based boxes but that's not my preferred solution and it looks like it may not work with other OS and arm64. I've also been reading about Musly and Essentia which look like they offer similar functionality but wondered what other, if any, suggestions people may have? Requirements are; * Must run on arm64 hardware and latest Ubuntu * Support for Don't Stop the Music plugin, or equivalent, with minimal user requirement other than choosing a seed track * Happy to run track analysis on a Windows based desktop as part of the setup process * Would prefer any server side component, if one is required, to be available as a container but am prepared to try and build one * Happy to compile from source Thanks in advance! sparkyuk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70716 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113740 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It's a very unfair world. :) I've attached some Radio logs that I was able to capture. They may or may not be helpful, but you might as well have them available. As you will see, from the Community firmware the predominate messages are, in the main -DEBUG audio.codec - decode_aac_callback_heaac:141 not enough bits-. The first log is not so clear, but I did not have full access before the Radio rebooted itself. We may just be seeing some 'last gasps'. Of interest, I think, is the Standard firmware log. Here we see -DEBUG audio.codec - src/decode_aac.c:124 sync error 4096 2148-. That makes me think the the standard firmware might have a stream synchronization step prior to submitting frames to the decoder proper, i.e. scanning the incoming stream for something that looks like AAC. Is such a step taken in the Community firmware ? I could imagine that a pre-scanning loop that glides over obviously duff data might improve resilience where a somewhat corrupted stream is present. What does -faad- do in terms of attempting synchronization ? I have no experience of this area. +---+ |Filename: Radio log - Community firmware - 4.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33052| +---+ mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113719 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Release 2.12.0 is now available in the main repo. It includes improvements to the streaming including a move to HTTPS by default. There is an option to force it back to http streaming in the options. However, if you find you need to do that, you should consider updating to a newer version of LMS and it's dependent components. *BBC Sounds Plugin Wiki* : https://github.com/expectingtofly/LMS_BBC_Sounds_Plugin/wiki expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
