This has been the subject of many debates over the years (I went back

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know that this also works on Ubuntu
besides of Raspbian-derived OS (Such as Max2Play). It also seems to work

To roll back PERL it made me first uninstall LMS, so I have
- uninstalled LMS
- uninstalled PERL
- installed old version of PERL (and turned off auto-updates)
- installed pinkdot's last version of LMS.
That worked fine - LMS now running.

The reason the list does not disappear after selecting an item is
because it is not a menu - it stays open so you can select multiple
items.
