That would most like be caused by lack of hardware mute when the DAC makes a sample rate change. Thats up to the driver to handle with the hardware. [SlimDevices: Plugins] PiCorePlayer with DAC - popping noise prompted by track change / silence
Hardware is Raspberry Pi 3 Model A Plus Rev 1.0 with an Innomaker HiFi DAC Hat (PCM 5122), playing though the hat's headphone jack. Software is a fresh install of 7.0.0, selecting Allo Bass DAC per Innomaker's instructions (the issue isn't new to 7.0.0, however, had it with the prior pCP version as well). The player produces a slight popping sound before and after certain silences. The most common case is when advancing to a new track if the prior track ends in silence - there will be a small pop with two seconds or so left in the track, then another pop right with the start of the new track. There is no noticeable popping, however, when there isn't a silence at the end of the track (e.g., classical movement broken among multiple tracks). Occasionally a deep silence in the middle of a track will also provoke the pops. I have tried adjusting the buffer settings, without it affecting the pops. Are there any other settings on either the Squeezelite tab or the audio card tab in pCP that others have had success with in fixing this kind of issue? rgthorpe2001's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62142 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114705 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] PiCorePlapyer - LMS showing duplicate Albums for some Artists .....
This seemed to start happening just in the last couple days. I noticed with Qobuz on a Certain Artist that I have marked as a Favorite on Qobuz, when I look at that artist (Greg Brown) on LMS and look at Albums by that Artist. Most all of his Albums are Duplicated. If I hit play on the Albums some of them will populate the Queue, but will not play at all. The other album will often play. When I view that Artist's Albums on the Qobuz Web Player App, the Album list looks fine... No Duplicates (BTW - This artist does not have any Hi-Res Stuff, where the albums do get duplicated, but are marked as 'Hi-Res') Cut-Throat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43167 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114703 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've done a quick search of this thread, as I'm sure somebody will have already asked this before, but couldn't find an answer. If I want to sync a couple of AirPlay devices, is there any preference to whether I use the native iOS AirPlay synchronisation (i.e. grouping speakers using the AirPlay controls on my iPhone) or should I use the LMS synchronisation method? I'd assume that if I have a mixture of AirPlay & Squeezebox components then I'd need to use LMS player sync, but for a 100% AirPlay household is it better to let AirPlay handle it instead of LMS? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Well I've been going round the houses with this. But in case it helps anyone else to generate their OAuth client ID correctly (so they can use their person YouTube account) I found I had to select 'Desktop App' as the application type when I created it. I tried a few others before settling on 'Desktop App' and none of them worked for me (the Client ID and Client Secret did not generate a code in the plugin settings page). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
@Michael - I have corrected the tagging now and it is fixed but is there any way to avoid this sort of lookup error. The error in question was a missing ' from the lookup. Is AllMusic really that fussy? Could you please double check what exact kind of quote you were using there? Because "'` should be ignored. You can always enable INFO logging for plugin.musicartistinfo to get a whole lot of information about what's going on in those lookups. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I think I have the required fix for 2.4.6 - and it'd be good to know if it really fixes the issue for you. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Musly DSTM Mixer (mix by similarity)
I've been using Similarity a bit more. I like it. Far better than random mixes. Can I just ask about genre filtering: if I create only *one* genre filter group for Classical music genres does this mean that if I start a mix with *no* classical music seed tracks does it mean that this mix will cover *all* genres except classical music? Just asking because while I'd like a classical music mix to feature only classical music I don't want classical music tracks to appear in any other mix. Do you think you could make the number of tracks DSTM adds (default=5) a config option? The DSTM similarity mix uses the similarity score of the last 5 seed tracks (the ones it just added) and therefore it would a kind of 'evolving' mix changing the character of the playlist as it 'evolves'? Compared to always using the similarity score of the original/first seed tracks. If it's evolving then larger batches would mean that the 'character' of the playlist would change more slowly (which can be nice). Or maybe another option to lock the similarity scores to the original seed tracks to keep the character of the playlist? I'm very glad you added the "Create Similarity Mix" context menu item and that it adds 50 tracks at once because the DSTM mixer is not really working for me right now. Plugins::MusicSimilarity::Plugin::__ANON__ (176) Failed to fetch URL: Timed out waiting for data Plugins::MusicSimilarity::Plugin::_mixFailed (202) Return empty list The first batch is usually added without problems but when the second batch is supposed to be added (last but one song started) it seems DSTM or Similarity times out before musly server has returned the results and DSTM adds the 'song mix'. The muslyserver python process is still busy when DSTM adds the song mix. At first I thought it was related to my setup: I often use a touchscreen piCorePlayer (without Squeezelite running) to control other clients - like a Boom in this case. Do you know how to fix this? Or this someting that can only be addressed in the DSTM plugin? (didn't find any timeout option in DSTM though) Thank you. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112713 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Last night I decided to play one of my versions of Sgt. Pepper. During play I decided to re-read the album review via MAI and Material on my iPhone - I must have read it before but - it wasn't there! Close examination of my tagging showed that my other three versions of the Beatles album were titled very slightly differently. This one (non working from MAI Album perspective) was tagged - Sgt. So, changing your password won't affect your signed in status of the plugin. A lot organisations provide a "sign out of all devices" facility that invalidates all tokens. Sorry, but you really need to be clearer. I -think- what you are stating is that this produces the error: - Open Material's search field - Enter artist name - Click on an the artist's name below the "1 Artist" header - List of albums for this artist is now shown - replacing search results - Use the (+) button that appears when hovering over an album in this new list but this works: - Open Material's search field - Enter artist name - Use the (+) button that appears when hovering over an album in the search results - i.e. an album shown below the "X Albums" header If so, I can see the "sort:" filed is added in the first case, but not the second. I'll try and remove this. *Material debug:* 1.
