On paper, any UPnP/DLNA should work, although UPnP is a loosely enforced standard, so a fair bit of tweaking might be needed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I'm experimenting with a new feature. I'll admit this one is sorta selfish. All my Squeezebox devices are plugged into Denon receivers. I know about the Denon Control plugin that will automatically turn on/off such a Denon/Marantz receiver when you power on/off a squeezebox device. And that works OK, except when my iPad happens to already be connected to the AVR. Older AVRs only allow a single connection, so in that case the Denon Control plugin will fail. Plus, I want to control the volume of the AVR. I know the Denon Control plugin will also let you sync the player volume to the receiver volume, but I like to see the AVR's version of volume -80..18 dB, so I can get it exactly where I want it. I had already created a little app to control my Denon's from the PC, so I decided to borrow a subset of that code and see if I could add this capability to SLX. I've been using it myself and I am considering including in the Store version. Once enabled in the "Advanced/Debug" settings, a button appears in the Titlebar, and pressing it opens a floating Window that lets you choose a Denon AVR and control it. When you select the Denon AVR, SLX will associate it with whatever the currently active player is, so after that the Denon Control Window will open with the appropriate Denon AVR already selected. It will include a feature to automatically discover all the compatible Denon's on your network and remember them. It looks something like this: 35886 The will be a button to discover Denon AVR's and a button to open the AVR's web page in a browser. I am using a method that does not interfere with or get blocked by other devices that may already be connect to the AVR. I believe it is compatible with basically all Denon/Marantz AVR's built since about 2013 that have network interfaces. Of course, this will be of no interest to those that do not have compatible Denon AVR's. I don't consider this a main-stream capability, but I happen to like it. It would not be enabled by default and you would have to enable it via the SLX advanced settings. If anyone else thinks this is cool, feel free to chime in :) R Greg Dawson +---+ |Filename: DenonControl.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35886| +---+ Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Follow all three steps, and after rebooting your server you'll have a functional control panel. Pick the number of bands you want in your equalizer and adjust to taste. Note that EQ changes you make are not instantaneous; they will be audible after the data currently in cache flushes out which can take 10 seconds or more. You can speed this up by restarting the current track which will cue in the new settings. If you make big (+) adjustments in your EQ bands, you are likely to push the digital samples into clipping. Once you have things working as above, you'll want to go back and read the "Inguz Documentation v0-1e" document paying particular attention to the section about "Clipping!" and, if necessary, adjusting the gain value in the "InguzDSP.exe.config" file. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
Might be worth checking the device firmware versions to see if there is a match between failure and old/new version. One way to see it is via Alexa app/devices/device/settings (top right cog)/About Paul Webster http://dabdig.blogspot.com author of \"now playing\" plugins covering radio france (fip etc), planetradio (bauer - kiss, absolute, scala, jazzfm etc), kcrw, supla finland, abc australia, cbc/radio-canada and rte ireland and, via the extra \"radio now playing\" plugin, cesky rozhlas, jukeradio, klassikradio.de, nova.fr Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Pity the retries don't help. I saw somebody somewhere on the Amazon dev forums saying that a start offset other than zero milliseconds sometimes helps, so I've just modded the code to retry a failed stream at 100ms into the stream. Maybe try again and see if that helped at all? If you haven't already done so, try a factory reset of the offending Echo. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology Docker LMS Step by Step
Thanks Carlos! Today I installed LMS in Docker on a Synology DS920+ (DSM 6.2.4-25556 Update 2). As you suggested, I set the permissions before I started the container. However, there is no user named "nobody" on my system so I cannot set the owner of the LMS subfolder to "nobody". Is this a problem? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
Yeah, according to that link and others it leads to this problem has been around for a while and is definitely an Alexa firmware issue, as you have always suspected. The changes you have made there have not solved the problem, so it looks like we will have to wait for firmware updates to possibly rectify the situation (or take down the 2 working Alexas ). It would be interesting to hear if other Mediaserver users have this streaming problem; anyone? raglencross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Unable to get Spotty to run
it is current helper version 1.1.0 Spotty didn't report this in LMS, but I compared it to the current git version (arm-linux) Since this works "from time to time", it shouldn't be an architecture issue. I cannot verify how effective this will be because I can't reproduce your issue on my Echos. Give it a whirl and see if this helps. Before you do, just say "Alexa, stop" to the Echo in question to clear any persistence from other skills 'claiming' the Echo for potential resumption. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I had some problems getting Custom Clock running on the Radios. Not sure when this started (could be unrelated), but it seems after I upgraded to latest firmware version. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
I had two Radios and have one Duet displaying a Custom Clock screensaver with SDT weather data. Somewhere in the past weeks the custom screensavers are not displayed anymore on the Radios and I don't see the Custom Clock Settings menu entry anymore under the Screensavers menu tree. The Custom Clock helper applet is installed on the Radios, I re-installed it and it is listed in the Advanced/Squeezebox Information/Plug-in modules. On the Duet things are working fine. It is probably user error , a setting I forgot? Could someone point me in the right direction? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Unable to get Spotty to run
Probably something for the max2play team to resolve but my guess is that the wrong spotty binary is being determined, perhaps they have an unusual Linux architecture setup. I suspect it could be made to work by renaming executables ... however, I do not have Spotty installed so giving precise details is hard. Hopefully Michael will see this and give some clues if max2play cannot resolve it.
