If I pause a prerecorded (not live) track and then start it again, it plays for a bit and then stops. Is it playing the buffered stream and then dying? Should this work? I know that skipping forward works - which is terrific. -- Millwood

Has anyone thought about a plugin which would let me play a CD in my server's drive? I know I can rip the CD and then play it, but sometimes I think I would just like to play something. Just a thought - and to tell the truth who knows how much I'd use it. -- Millwood

I don't know if softsqueeze works with alien - if it does you might try it running on the same machine as the server. And/or you might try the SB wired. You want to see if its a server or a client problem. -- Millwood

I tried using MusicInfoSCR.pm to format a large display with title and elapsed time. I seem to keep crashing my server. I don't know how to get debug info. When I restart, the log is empty. Advice appreciated on figuring this out. I'm running a 6.2.2 beta a few days old. -- Millwood

Thanks - thats it exactly. Just to tell you why I need this. AlienBBC doesn't know how to pause - it restarts clips at the beginning. So you have to take note of the position and then skip forward. I like to do this from my easy chair - and its only possible in large font mode. -- Millwood

I changed line 109 in Info.pm to (Slim::Player::Source::playmode($client) =~ /(play|pause)/))); which seems to do the trick. IMHO, you may as well display the songtime rather than 0 in stop state. -- Millwood
