I have found a way to reproduce this behavior. I just tested my network
with Iperf, sending large bursts of data around with very large buffers.
The music only stopped once briefly for like a second. Squeezelite-X was
then frozen and not updating. The browser connection showed the correct
music playing.
I then switched to classic skin and back to material and it worked
again. This could be related, maybe my laptop goes into a deeper state
when left alone, and there are minor network disconnects. Once this
happens, the app stops updating. I therefore don't think it's related to
the "locking" but a very short network disconnect.

English is not my first language so my bad :)

The computer auto-locks, and after a while the monitor goes off for
power saving. Music still plays. I log in again, first pressing a key on
the keyboard, then my fingerprint reader. I'm back at the desktop. I see
Squeezelite-X still running and playing music. I can also pause and play
again. But I can't see what's actually playing. No such problem with the
default skin.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X

2019-03-12 Thread Dandyman

I have an issue if I leave the Laptop running and the desktop auto-locks
after a while. The Squeezelite-X Window is not getting updated. I can
hear the music playing, I can pause and stop music. But I don't see what
is currently playing because the progress bar doesn't update.
The visual is stuck on some music that was played while I was at the
laptop.

This problem only happens if I use Material Skin.

The MIP server must be running before LMS has started completely .

You can try and shutdown LMS and restart LMS while the server is well up
and running , to see if this makes any sense

Ha! You nailed it, thank you. I always start my system once it's booted
via a small script (due to storage being encrypted and has to be mounted
first).
The command sc start MusicIP Server works fine, immediately
afterwards I start the LMS. For some reason MusicIP now takes a bit
longer to start (checked by hitting the webserver). Added a 30 second
timeout, see if this fixes things.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] I have to disable / enable the MusicIP plugin to get it to work

2014-08-04 Thread Dandyman

Hi,
I hope someone has an idea it's a strange problem. My setup worked fine
for a long time. MusicIP works, I have Spicefly Sugarcube running, this
also works fine. But sometimes I'd like to start mixing by using the
built in MusicIP plugin and chose to create a mix.
You are aware, you click on the M besides a track and then there is an
option to create a MusicIP mix. This option is gone on my installation.
However, I have a workaround.
I go to plugins. Disable MusicIP. Server asks for restart. I do.
Then I enable the MusicIP plugin again. Server asks for restart. I do.
Then the option is there and MusicIP works fine.
It's so annoying, does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Version discrepancy between genpuid and MusicIP

2010-01-18 Thread Dandyman

This version dropped off since MusicIP changed it's name. Please upload
the Windows version again.
www.hotfile.com is a good alternative, no 10 download limit as with
rapidshare.

I don't know why some of you are copying manually. If you use SB Server

Well, not everyone is as lucky as you. I tried through the WebUI - then
I get a constant message about restarting the server every time I went
to the plugins page. Sugarcube would not run.
But yesterday, I finally made it: Installed through WebUI, then copied
the Gamma to the plugins folder under the user profile, restated the
server and TAT! the Sugarcube plugin settings are there. And it
finally works.

 Hi,

I installed SC7.4 and manually installed SpiceFly 1.9Gamma in this

You have to copy it under:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\plugins

It will then end up after restart under the other directory. BUT it
does not work! There is no Extras menu anymore, so you can't switch
Sugarcube to on.

I have to copy it manually to C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\plugins it then
endet up somehow under
C:\Program Files\Squeezebox\server\Slim\Plugin

But I can't do anything in the web interface, it also looks kind of
weird:
PLUGIN_SUGARCUBE(v1.9 Gamma) then PLUGIN_SUGARCUBE_DESC and Charles
Parker
No settings.

7.4 upgrade is a drama I have to set everything. Everything went
belly up.
