That seems to have fixed the issue! Thank you. But yeah, it is a bit
confusing with all the different helpers [emoji28]

Continuing from the Spotty 4.5 thread:

crackling noises, and the music is not recognizable at all.

I should add, as long as the legacy helper was used there does not seem
to be any messages in the log. Without it there are messages saying the
helper cannot be found.

I have tried removing the helper applications from the plugins menu and
tried adding both the legacy one, and the ARMv8/aarch64 one. But only

I am having a weird problem with Spotty. Its just playing crackling
noises.
It was failing with an error saying something like failed to get access
token, with a recommendation to try a spotty helper application. The
suggested helper application did not seem to fix the problem, so I tried
I haven't checked these forums for a few years now, so I hadn't seen the

I just lost the old spotify app :(.
I finally have spotty set up and it seems to work fine. I had some
trouble installing everything on my Raspberry Pi though, and thought I
would share my "solutions".
First with how to install the 7.9.1 nightly build. I ended up following

I am considering getting second Spotify account for my wife (via the
Spotify Family deal). I was wondering if there is a quick and easy way
to change the account used by the plugin?
Manually going to the server settings and changing username and password
would not qualify as quick and easy here
I would be very interested in such a plugin.
I agree about perl/squeezebox server. I tried a few times to get into
developing plugins, but the pain of learning perl combined with the
complete lag of documentation on how to write plugins killed my spirit
every time :(.

I have installed Shairport via the vortexbox gui and this appears to be
interfering with the ability for my ipeng app to connect with the
squeezebox server.

What a shame :(. However, the plugin was already working well, I guess I
will just keep using playlists in stead :)

I really don't know. However, it seems to me that Spotify is phasing out

I am having a lot of problems with iPeng 7 crashing on my iPhone 5. More
or less randomly the app will simply close it self and I will need to
relaunch it. Sometimes it only crashes to the first screen of iPeng,
so no relaunch is required but it jumps out of whatever menu I am at.

I knew from crash reports that iPeng 7 was having these issues for some
people, but literally nobody was ever contacting me beyond sending crash
reports and none of my beta testers seem to have the issue (that's not
entirely true, one

Does it do so while you are using the App... While it's actually open?
That's probably related to the crash issue, too. Will talk about that
after the test :)
Maybe it is easier to explain with an example scenario: I open iPeng 7,
now I am in More menu. I tap the Spotify menu
As far as I recall it mainly(edit: exclusively) happens while browsing.
Actually it might particularly happen when using the search function,
but maybe I just feel that way because that is something I do a lot and
that is when it is the most annoying.
The server is an old Acer Aspire Revo nettop running VortexBox 2.3. I
think it is the R1600 model, its an atom processor with 2GB RAM and a
120GB drive. It is connected to the router with a wire, but the players
(one Touch and one piCorePlayer on RPi) are connected over wifi.
I would like to try to write a plugin. I just wanted to know if the
developer guide (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/DeveloperGuide)
is up to date?
I ask because the Hello World example on the wiki explicitly says it
will not work for current server versions, and that got me wondering
Ok, first question then: where do I get the code of an other plugin? :)

Oh, I am sorry. I actually didn't realize there was a separate developer
forum.
Thanks for you help :).

Is there any plans/possibilities to let the plugin work together with
the new Your Music feature in Spotify? I think it is a really nice way
to have a kind of collection of music in Spotify. Right now I just
have a playlist for every album I like, which works well with this
plugin. It gets a
