Question regarding CustomBrowse plugin. What I would like to accomplish, is a 'Bitrates'-like extra menu option, to browse by resolution that gives me the following 7 subitems: 16/44 24/44 24/48 24/88.2 24/96 24/176.4 24/192 I have albums for every category and no albums that wouldn't fit in those 7. Clicking on such sub item, would present all the responding albums, sorted by album artist (a-Z). Is this possible? Thanks for this wonderfull plugin. It behaves differently between 7.5 and 7.6. In 7.5 nightly YouTube is added to the Radio's menu, in 7.6 nightly it is added to the Apps menu. Ipeng on the Ipad, 7.6 latest nightly dedicated SBS. I have trouble with Spotify. When I start searching and playing from Spotify (from IPeng), the Squeezebox Touch changes it source from my SBS7.6 to mysqueezebox.com. From that moment on, IPeng looses connection to my Touch, making it impossible to operate it. This behavior is independent of what I select at the Ipeng options (connect to server/player). I have to manually switch the Touch back to my local server and voila, Ipeng sees the player again. Any tips for this? Hi Pippin, What is the optimum cover art size (Ipeng on IPod)? At this moment my folder.jpg's are 1000px but scanning in SBS take too long. I'd like to downsize them to the minimum optimal size. It looks that upgrading to 7.5 server makes IPing a touch (hihi) faster when browsing by genre. Can you please ellaborate on the speed improvements that switching to 7.6 beta would make? Hi pippin, running version: 7.4.2 on Ubuntu, very stable. However, I don't get the Genre -> Artist list exactly as I would like. It's different from the Artist list (directly) itself. In IPeng the Genre -> Artist list shows MORE artists that clicking directly on Artists. After some experimenting, it adds (track)artists that: (1) appear as track artist on a CD that is tagged with Album Artist AND (2) appear as track artist on compilation discs (no album artist). The normal webinterface (:9000) doesn't have this abnormality: Genre -> Artist and Artist lists are the same. Playing with the options on the My Music tab doesn't solve it. Thanks vagskal & pippin, looks like what I mean. Another question re IPeng. In the SB3 or webinterface, choosing Genre lists only the Album Artists. In IPeng this is different. It lists all Album Artists but adds the artists that appear on albums taged with an Album Artist. So let's say I have an album by Ray Charles, taged with Ray Charles as Album Artist. All song have Ray Charles as artist/album artist, except one. That has Norah Jones as artist (and Ray Charles as Album Artist). SB3/Web list only Ray Charles, but IPeng lists both. Is that a bug? Two questions on IPeng. 1. I would be nice when choosing an artist, to first show their 'own' albums (artist = albumartist) and then the albums on which they appear on 1 or more tracks, for example compilations (the chosen artist <> albumartist). Would be a nice thing for a future release? 2. If I choose Genre as first entry, it takes some time to come up with the artist list. It seems that the query is not cached, even it is likely not going to change. IPeng would be even snappier if we can speed that up. Any server settings or otherwise to make this faster/cached? Hi pippin, Was able to reproduce it. The common thing with IPeng stopping, is that every time it happens I just clicked on the icon in the top right to add a song directly after the current one (not the play, not the + but the 3rd option). Clicking makes it turn lighter, after that IPeng stops. It is not that every time I click that icon IPeng halts, but the other way around (every halt is after a click on that icon). Please look at the attached video (excuses for the bad quality). What I do is: 1. Click on the play button to start A-ha (Take on Me) 2. Look at the playlist 3. Change the icon to 'add after current' 4. Select a song from a Abba album 5. Look at the playlist (Waterloo is added and 2nd song) 6. Click again on the 'add after current' icon, IPeng halts. You can play it with Quicktime. http://www.jonkers.net/VID.3GP (pls let me know when I can remove it from my machine). Hopes this helps! I've been using IPeng for just over 2 months, very impressed. This weekend I upgraded to 1.2.1. Although everything seems to work okay, I experienced some 4 times already that IPeng stopped (quit), back to the app menu on the IPhone. So the app crashed it seems. Never had this in 2 months with 1.2. It's hard to reproduce, but it happened every time when I clicked on + to add a song to the playlist. When playing a track, you can 'hold' the title to get a context menu
('Song Info'). In that screen you can find songs by the current playing
artist, album, genre and year. I'd like to search for other performances
of the same track title. So when I play Beast of Burden by the Rolling
Stones, I'd like to search for the same title and get Bette Midler. Is
that possible?
If I add an album or artist to My Favorites and try to access it again
(Favorites, click of saved album), I get "Cannot request non-HTTP URL
db:album.titlesearch...GRACELAND" Is that a bug or do I need to set
something?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomBrowse: show track artist in album track list
I'm very pleased with CustomBrowse (using with IPeng). The only thing I 'miss' is showing the track artist in the list of an album's tracks. Example: Filtered Artists 1. 1st screen shows my music's artists incl Various Artists I click on a artist or on Various Artists 2. The CD's for that artist are shown: title and below that the album artist (for no compilations) I select a CD from the list 3. It then shows all the tracks on that selected CD (just the title). Because you can also select compilation albums, and some CD's have more than one track artist, I would like to see the track artist below the displayed track title. Selecting a CD 'Top 100 hits' now just displayes all track titles, without displaying the track artists... I guess this can be configured in the menu XML, but I was not able to make something that works. Any help here is much appreciated!
