Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
If you upgraded Ubuntu and now find Shairtunes wont install fully, check the perl version, and update with Code: sudo apt-get upgrade libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl The plugin is working now, but it was the correct version all along, and hasn't changed. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Song Scanner 2.0 plugin for the Classic
I can see that this plugin is intended to allow scanning/seeking in a music or audiobook file on the Classic. Can this be updated to include Touch or are there hardware constraints? Since I now use the Touch, scan/seeking behaviour has been erratic on the Material skin. I want to be able to access any point on the file by pulling the "cursor" dot to the time point I seek on my saved files. I have not found a thread with details of this plugin, probably because Song and Scanner are too frequently used. SB Touch (Community firmware v8.01) UE Radio, CA DacMagic, Talk Electronic stereo. I have just added a new Marantz CD player to my stereo system. I found this has a good integration with iPhone, which plays music either on the phone or streaming like Amazon music when iPhone is wired via USB to the marantz. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Player takes same ip address as the server. I am running CCA on an active speaker friendly name Kitchen Speaker. CCA ip address is assigned dhcp 192.168.0.33 on the router. The lms server is 192.168.0.16 and it is Ethernet connected. I created the xml file so Kitchen speaker has a uud and correct mac address; the server has self selected 192.168.0.16 When I look at the lms information page, this player is wrongly on the same ip address. I don't have a problem provided I allow the xml file choose the server address. If I input 192.168.0.16 the CCA is not seen. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
The chromecast player doesn't appear on the list of players on LMS 8.0 after installing castbridge plugin and generating xml file. I attach a screenshot and log of the attempts LMS is making to connect. I read the User Guide too late at night - it really isn't connecting with me, so there may be something obvious I am failing to do. I did check the MAC address generated when the Kitchen speaker was identified - it was incorrect and I updated it (and the log below). Still no speaker created in LMS drop down list, and without this how do I control the chromecast? I didn't use commandline as described in the user guide, there are pictures of this that don't load, perhaps they could have helped? 30312 Code: [20-05-16 22:39:12.0759] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler (168) full processing [20-05-16 22:39:12.0763] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::waitEndHandler (192) helper stopped, processing with callback [20-05-16 22:39:12.0767] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::__ANON__ (158) write file now [20-05-16 22:39:12.0788] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::waitEndHandler (200) updating page [20-05-16 22:39:12.0837] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (244) reading config: f5babbb495b0acfc2fe9c9bd2b1b5b67 [20-05-16 22:39:12.0845] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (245) $VAR1 = [ { 'udn' => '.common.', 'name' => '[common parameters]' }, { 'friendly_name' => 'Kitchen speaker', 'name' => 'Kitchen speaker', 'mac' => 'cc:cc:8d:d1:dd:56', 'send_metadata' => '0', 'udn' => 'f5babbb495b0acfc2fe9c9bd2b1b5b67', 'mode' => 'pcm, flow', 'enabled' => '1', 'send_coverart' => '0' } ]; [20-05-16 22:39:12.0849] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (250) reading: upnp_socket ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Is 70.4 is current stable version of Shairtunes2? I have my LMS 7.9.1 on Windows 8.1 with a working instance of Shairtunes2. The PC is NUC5i3 The two players which are visible to my Ipad as air devices, can be smoothly switched one to the other. It sounds good so I am not going to update unless you recommend it. The log appears to show problems, whether both devices are on LMS or not. I updated the upnpbridge.xml with server IP address which allowed the upnp programme to complete successfully. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
I tested a few google searches and failed to find the current flac test. Eg bbc iplayer r3 flac. It links with the previous one, with no link to current one. bbc iplayer r3 flac does not bring up the link in the first Google page. What is BBC doing with its test website? Does it want it buried? I did complete the questionnaire, of which the question on How do you listen, missed out on the most satisfying way of listening to the flac stream, on my Hifi. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] UK BBC radio access with LMS 7.7.3
Mysb.com is recognised and BBC plugin is now working. I deleted the Logitech preferencepanes, and reinstalled the 7.8.0 pkg. I gave it 2 hours to be recognised. I just tried the Radio in the LMS web server, and all the default radio apps are present. I checked the Settings/Plugin and no problem notices evident. I checked the BBC plugin which is now available, and restarted LMS. On restarting I could then navigate to BBC radio listen again and live. I tried verifying the password for mysb.com and I got a popup (see attachment). I changed the password, and tried again, still no joy. You can see that I am logged in, and the screenshot shows a popup - Invalid SqueezeNetwork username or password. I wonder if the problem is that the LMS mac box requires an email, and the pop up refers to a username. My name for the mysb.com account page is Patricia. How would you suggest I go ahead?
