Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems with file types on both iPlayer and iPlayer Extra
I have upgraded to 7.9 and the installation process (and thus installation of faad no doubt) seems to have resolved the issue. Sadly the buffering is back but iPlayer is fixed!! Perhaps I will place a question (in the right folder!) for the ongoing buffering issue. Thanks once again bpa for all your help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems with file types on both iPlayer and iPlayer Extra
Thank you for your reply, I have answered the questions under the points raised below. Describe your system and player - - Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.5 - 1416570306 @ Thu Nov 27 07:38:09 CUT 2014 Hostname: MEDIASERVER Server IP Address: 192.168.0.10 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: Windows 7 - EN - cp1252 Platform Architecture: 8664 Perl Version: 5.14.1 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) Total Players Recognized: 8 [/INDENT]- - Player Model: Squeezebox Classic Firmware: 137 - "unable to play filetype" usually means your player cannot play AAC and LMS is unable to transcode due to wrong setting or faad not being available. This is probably a general problem on your system not a BBCiPlayer problem. - faad might well be the issue as I had previously been trying to fix a buffering issue and tried to replace it with a new version (clearly unsuccessfully), could you tell me where the faad file should be located on the server and where I should be downloading an up to date version of it. How can I check that it is installed correctly?- If it is really a BBCiplayer 1.5.2 problem - please post on the thread for BBCPlayer 1.5.2. -Apologies for posting this in the wrong thread (I don't post to the forums very often). If after this further information you feel that I should raise this again in the correct thread I would be happy to do so.- Thanks for your assistance in this issue. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problems with file types on both iPlayer and iPlayer Extra
Hi Both iPlayer(v1.5.2) and iPlayer Extra(v1.9.5) are failing and the error logs look like this: [16-12-25 21:55:02.9437] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (147) Error: Select task failed calling Slim::Web::HTTP::sendStreamingResponse: illegal file descriptor or filehandle (either no attached file descriptor or illegal value): at /<C:\PROGRA~2\SQUEEZ~1\server\SQUEEZ~3.EXE>Slim/Networking/IO/Select.pm line 150. ; fh=Slim::Web::HTTP::ClientConn=GLOB(0x10477a04) I seem to have broken something, but I can't understand what. Is anyone able to assist in diagnosing the issue? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: AlienBBC v2.02 Beta1
I have loaded this version (2.02) of AlienBBC and most everything seems to be working well. However, I cannot seem to connect to the above show, no matter which menu route I use to find it. It starts to connect, but either the connect fails or my Squeezebox thinks it is connected and playing the show, but it is actually not playing anything. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC 5 live stream not working
I am having problems with getting the 5 live stream to work. All the other BBC live streams work fine, and indeed the 5 live stream option which is provided in a dos box at the end of the Alien BBC installation, in order to test that mplayer is installed correctly, also works perfectly. I have uninstalled the squeezecenter and alien bbc, rebooted the server, reinstalled them both but nothing seems to change. When I use the squeezecenter interface on the server (rather than via the squeezebox) it indicates that it is trying to open http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/live/surestream.rpm however the time counter on the right hand window never gets above 0.07 before resetting back to zero. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC Podcast No Programmes Found
This patch worked for me too. However it seems to have lost it's magic powers and my BBC Podcasts directory is empty again. Does anyone have a new magic patch for me to try. I presume that the BBC keep changing their site and that is why the new AlienPodcastsParseMenu.pm worked for a period. Any help would be much appreciated!
