However, this I had done on my Win machine and based on MIP v1.9b6. Rescanning using v1.8.1 (on Windows), overwriting the results in the tags, and then copying the mp3s to the Raspberry, the headless server recognized all 20k tracks in a few minutes as mixable. When I did this using the stored results of v1.9b6 MIP didn't recognize anything, so it seems there is a difference in the analysis algorithm. I don't understand the behavior, though: I previously had scanned the tracks with both v1.9b6 and v1.8.1 and compared the results of the tags--both were identical. I also had deleted the old default.m3lib, so that might also have had an influence. Anyways, it works now. First off, thanks for you quick responses, I do appreciate this. If I try to not import the database, the headless MIP on the Raspberry Pi 3 crashes (probably runs out of memory) before even analyzing one track. E.g. of the 100 test files I copied over, it recognizes 5 files and then gives me the "validating, 95 remaining..." message--but this counter never decreases. kinoimkeller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24972 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106958 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But that's exactly where I am stuck: All tracks have the results stored. But if I copy my mp3s from Win to the Raspberry MusicIP does a full rescan instead of using the available results... kinoimkeller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24972 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106958 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yepp, did that: None of the tracks that the headless server tells me that are mixable, have the option showing up in LMS... frankd wrote: > What happened during track scan: Did LMS import the MusicIP info (You > should still see it @ Configuration - Information, something like: > MusicIP Import (27984 of 27984) Complete 00:05:59 Another yepp: I can see exactly that info (with different # of tracks). Might be a reason that I scanned the tracks on a windows machine and copied the default.m3lib over to the raspi? The music folder structure on windows itself is identical with the one in the raspberry. However, the absolute paths obviously differ: e.g. D:\Music\ABBA vs. /home/pi/Music/ABBA. Opening default.m3lib in vi I can see the Windows paths. However, I think I read somewhere that MusicIP can handle this. All my mp3s have their analysis results stored in the respective MUSICMAGIC tags. What I cannot do is run the scan in the headless version on the pi itself as for some reason it doesn't recognize the tags and cannot rebuild the DB based on the archived files. That's I have to go the roundabout route via copying the default.m3lib from Win to the raspberry... kinoimkeller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24972 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106958 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Success: MusicIP and Spicefly Sugarcube running on Raspberry Pi
Hi all, I'm trying in vain to get MusicIP working with LMS on a Max2Play installation on a Pi 3. - I followed the instructions to the point in the first post. - I can run MIP in headless mode using the replacement interface (everything standard, e.g. port 10002 etc.). - I successfully imported a default.m3lib generated on a Win 1.8.1 installation (for 100 test files). - I can generate a mix from the headless interface for this library. - I activated the MusicIP plugin in the LMS. All other plugins I deactivated to avoid any collisions. - I did a full wipe and rescan of my DB in LMS. - I started MusicMagicServer and after that re-started LMS so that it would recognize MIP to be running. BUT: When selecting in LMS the details of one of the tracks which showed up as mixable in step #4, there is not the usual option to generate a mix based on this track. What am i doing wrong? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP not recognizing stored analysis when buliding library
Thx for the quick response. I forgot to mention: I already had done that, at least superficially, and the data in both the MusicIP-Tags looked identical. Taking a closer look again results in this: 34679 Observations: - The tags are duplicated rather than overwritten, so now I have two times two tags with identical names (only ID3v2.3 no other present). I wasn't even aware that was possible? Or might there be some unprintable character which I can't see in MP3Tag? - The data is almost the same, but if analyzed with v1.8.1b the tag MUSICMAGIC DATA is shorter than the corresponding one obtained via v1.96b. Not sure what to make of it, though... +---+ |Filename: No Limits.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34679| +---+ kinoimkeller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=24972 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114568 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP not recognizing stored analysis when buliding library
Hi all, I have about 18k tracks and all of them have the fingerprint results of MusicIP stored in the tags (i. e. option "archive analysis"). As I am moving from a Windows installation to Raspberry, I have to rebuild the default.mp3lib (as this only works with v1.8.1 and my existing default.mp3lib was done on Windows with v1.96b). I thought rebuilding the library with v1.8.1 should be fast as I have all the analysis results stored in the tracks. However, none of the tracks in the MusicIP GUI show up as green after adding my music folder and it wants to do a full analysis on all 18k tracks. Obviously, I would like to avoid that. Any ideas re. what I am doing wrong? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Lazy Search: special characters
Alright, tried to search for another album title w/ parenthesis - it worked. After hitting the Rebuild Lazy Search Index button I can also find the ones I wasn't able to before (should've done so earlier). Apparently my most recent additions to the library were somehow excluded from that index. So problem resolved, thanks! Just out of curiosity: Is there a certain time interval when the index is built? I thought it was w/ every rescan of squeezecenter it would be updated. But maybe s.th. failed this time (because I'm running squeezecenter on a NAS?)
