Thanks for your quick reply. Actually, I am trying to achieve nothing fancy... I have quite a few genres, that's why my by far most used genre "Rock & Pop" is not on the start screen of my control point (Material Skin on Android), but kind of hidden at the bottom of the list. So I wanted to change that and sort the genres according to the frequency of use. It is not that important and I can live with my current solution. By the way, I love your work. Hi, I am on LMS 7.9.2 with Material Skin using CustomScan, CustomBrowse and MultiLibrary. How can I sort my genres (Classical Music, Rock & Pop etc.) in an order other then alphabetically? I read something about sort values like "ComposerSort", however, I have no idea how to implement it... Hi, First of all: Squeeze Ctrl is great!! I wonder if there is a setting for showing a search history while using the top search bar? Using the search function within Spotty a list with the latest searches turns up. I would love this for the general search bar. Hi, I love SqueezeCtrl, great app! I would like to attribute different images to my three Squeezelite-Players (living, study, kitchen). So I cropped images according to the resolution of my smartphone 2280x1080px and uploaded them via SqueezeCtrl - Player Manager. However, I see only a litte section, sometimes the images are rotated too, everything seems kind of random... What I am doing wrong? What is the correct resolution for the background images? Thanks you! I had a deep look into the tutorial, however it simply
doesn't work...
I will try out now tagging Artist = Conductor or Soloist as you
proposed.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse - Modifying song info for classical music
Hi
I am using LMS with the plugins Multilibrary, Custom Scan, Custom Browse
and successfully built up a dynamic tag menu exclusively for classical
music. Now, I would like to modify the song info display for classical
music. I don't use artist tags for classical music since I am working
with CONDUCTOR, SOLOIST, ORCHESTRA, COMPOSER tags. That's why the song
info right now shows "Kein Interpret" (= "no artist"). How can I change
this? I would like to see the conductor tag there and instead of the
Album name ("Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 6&2 [Järvi]) the WORK tag
"Symphonie No. 6 F Major". I cannot find any tutorial on this... The
"Manage header/footer items" menu is just too much for me, I don't know
where to start...
Any help is much appreciated.

Obviously, it doesn't make sense to start browsing with "Composition/Werk" because then you have thousands of works right next to each other. Actually, I love the concept of dynamic tagging! I have 5 recordings of
Beethoven's 5th and distinguish them in the following way:
1) I tagged the corresponding recordings with "Composition" ("Sinfonie
Nr. 5 c-Moll"). If the CD contains more than one symphony I would also
use the tag "group" for each symphony to distinguish them within the CD.
Besides I use the tags "composer", "conductor".
2) To distinguish the recordings I would browse in Minimserver browse
like this: Genre ("Klassik") - Composer ("Beethoven, Ludwig van") -
Composition (Sinfonie Nr. 5 -c-Moll). Now the following screen turns up
which shows the recordings. (Ok, the album turns up but since I grouped
the symphonies, only the tracks containing Beethoven 5th would play!):

3) The magic of dynamic tag browsing is 1) that every remaining matching
tag is shown the deeper you browse or 2) you are absolutely flexible how
to get to your taget. You are not restricted to a given tag menu. In my
example: 1) The conductors of the recordings are shown in my final
choise. 2) In the example I could also start with "composer" (without
genre), then choose "conductor", then "work". In this case all
recordings of the 5th symphony with a specific conductor would show up.
Ultimate tag browsing flexibility!
As I said, I love it...

I played around with the dynamic tag menus in LMS Custom Scan. I works quite well. In contrast to Minimserver, however, the number of remaining albums, soloists etc in your choice are not shown... At any tag browse level I just shows "album", not for example "14 albums". Thanks! I will give it a try. I use Minimserver normally in combination with BubbleUPNP on my Android phone (which works perfectly). Now I am playing around with LMS and the Squeeze Ctrl Android App because of the multiroom functions. I listen mostly to classical music. I tagged my files with values like "instrument", "soloist" or "orchestra", "composition". So far, I have failed to integrate these tags in LMS via Custom Scan and Custom Browse. All these tags are not listed in the mpd id3 standard. Hi, I'm using Sqeeze Control on an Android phone (Samsung S9). Great app, I love it! My LMS (v7.9) is on a Synology NAS. My players are two RPis with Moode 5.3, squeezelite activated, obviously. My problem: The tracks in my playlist on the app do no advance automatically. I need to manually start each track on the playlist which is of course annoying. I went through all settings of the app (maybe I missed something, I am a newby), and now I am stuck.
