Listening to 99% Invisible podcasts for the first time - very
interesting.
The BBC podcasts can take a while to load each list of options and some
of them don't actually load the specific podcast.

Well apparently they need to have the metadata to justify all the money
they have/are spending on "Sounds", and because

Surely it's not just cookies. You log on, then you play stuff from
their site. So they know, at their end, what you play, even without any
cookies.

implication BBC API) will be logged.
If you use a browser or app with BBC Sounds or via Radioplayer or
podcasts via a 3rd party podcast player - there are loads of other
cookies being stored so

@PasTim, if you are minded to make use of that first link that I posted,

BBCiPlayerExtra podcasts menu makes a rather better fist of it. It

No.
BBCiPlayer has programs that only last 7 days.
BBCiPlayerExtra accesses *all* the programs BBC has on their website.

I'm not really keen on keeping permanently signed in to the BBC for BBC

I'd also quite like to know how to use the podcast plugin for BBC
programmes, just so I get a bit more of a grip on how things work.

able to do was see a list of stuff in LMS and select and play from
there.
