Hi all
After a break of a few weeks I've tried Spotify on my Sqeezebox. I'm
using Triode's Spotify 2.3.9 plugin, and music is playing fine.
Strangely, my Spotify icon is now orange (not green) and I no longer
seem to have the "moods" (e.g. Spotify-chosen playlists, such as genres,

great work as always at trying to get to the bottom of rebuffering. I
have just applied your latest beta and the DASH.pm file you posted a few
pages back. I have a i5-4440 8GB desktop running latest windows 10 pro.
Had terrible problems with rebuffering on all squeezebox devices I own
Sorted.
In Spotify app on my iPhone, choose to follow a decade. This then shows
up on LMS.

no, this thread does not deal with Windows only, but it deals with the
version that I've forked that brings Windows compatibility,
Did you put back the DASH.pm from 1.5.1 ?
Do you get the same problem when BBCiPlayer Setting for LIve Preference

yes have restored dash.pm file.
so weird that it 'settles' down. on Radio2 for 43 mins now, and now
there are no drops at all. strange.
i think you are asking have i tried changing the setup pref to use HLS
in the live stream pref rather than DASH. Trying now...

When the problem happens with HLS - it indicates it is the same issue
that the "delay" fix in
1;52 in and a very long rebuffer.

Display says BBC Radio 2: 0 mins delay.
but the delay is set to 2 mins.
might i still be using the wrong DASH.pm file?
1:14 in on radio 2 after switching and another brief rebuffer!

if I turn off i get Error no items found in playlist displayed. so I am
guessing the answer is No it does support AAC naively

Could Sugarcube plugin be a possible conflict, it is a plugin that auto
picks the next track to play from my music library based on music
signatures (musicip) clutching at straws.

tried HLS, still rebuffers and takes about 25 second to start. switching
back to DASH now...connects straight away. and now playing for 2 mins
and hasn't rebuffered yet!

yes, I have did that, when i installed the .pm on the post earlier, i
renamed the dash.pm, now i removed the 'post' version and renamed the
original back to dash.pm and stopped and restarted LMS. have been
listening to Radio 2 now for 16 mins and no rebuffer! will switch to a
different station

secs of playing. nothing new appearing on log during that time.

If sugarcube takes a burst of CPU it might be unsettling the pipelines.

LMS is single threaded so you need to look at the core which is being
used by LMS - LMS could be using 100% but on a 4 four system load will
appear as 25% and the problem could be a short burst of 25% not a

Ignore that - it is sort of a bug - the "Delay Live start" preloads 2
mins of audio but displayed "delay" is calculated using the time stamp
of last packet processed by the plugin (not the packet

If there are instances of delays (ie. "rebuffering" message appears on
player) and no message in log file - then it is this
just switched to Radio2 and its rebuffered twice in 1st 2 mins :(
should I clear down any cache or pref files, really don't understand why
I seem to have worse experience than most using this plug-in
btw have fastest virgin-media going for broadband.

Used fixed (yet random) positioning for artwork background rather than

Any messages in the log file corresponding to this rebuffering ?
Are you in the UK ?
What bit rate is being displayed ?
Have you tried increasing the delay to 2 min ?
Is AAC played natively on squeezeplayer
I did find someone with a similar-ish problem on a Mac back in January

I can't play from Spotify either. I got a notice on the Spotify app on
my Mac to the effect that the terms of service have changed - maybe
there's a change that affects the LMS plugin.
It's still working fine here. Streaming Spotify to my Transporter as I type.

Does anyone know how to turn off HDMI-CEC when running Squeezelite on
PiCorePlayer?
I'm using Audio out over HDMI > AV amp > Sony TV but my TV keep trying
