Good oh! :)
When you have it working as you want, remember to use the SD Card Copier
function to make a clone of the install.
It will reduce the size of the image down to the size of the card you
clone to, say from 16gb down on to a 8gb card.
Info is in this link
It works!
thanks to your ideas, I managed to clean up the install, do a new clean
install, with all the needed files this time and even start the service
at boot.
Thank you Ronnie!

I have been checking this out this morning.
First, Gerelt's server seems to be down, I'll wait until tomorrow and

here is where my problem begins:
/etc/default/squeezelite

these two don't exist !
But squeezelite works, the usb audio card is set as default, I get music

Let me know which raspberry pi you have, exactly which Raspbian OS you
want to use and which output for the audio (dac-hat or usb or
headphone).
Squeezelite from the repository works ok, but tends to use the default
audio
I'm using raspbian (last one), but that's the first tutorial I tried, as
I couldn't make it work. I removed everything and installed it from the
repository.
It works now but the settings files don't seem to be located at the same
place, so i'm a bit confused (i'm relatively new to linux, which
You don't say which OS you have on the 'pi but this tutorial works for

IP adress manually. I can't get it to start on boot either. That's a
headache for another day!
