[PoliticalForum] haven't white people suffered enough?

2016-11-30 Thread euwe

What do you nice white folks want? I'm in a generous mood, and I'm willing
to compromise

Home schooled baptist parishes where abortion is punished as first degree
murder? Public school vouchers, no capital gains tax, no property tax? War
waged solely for conquest and demonstration of power, to instill fear, and
to take the spoils of the defeated to fund roads and to expand our military
might?

Forced military service for minorities, ages 18-24 with no deferments?

Apartheid?

Replacement of the term "Ally" with tribute payments as "protection money?"

Rescind women's right to vote, to work, and own property?

Require European ancestry for citizenship?

A return to indentured slavery?

Children as property?

Federal Identity card to buy or sell - citizen's arrest laws to immediately
detain those without papers.

Immediate deportation?

150mm cannons on parapets in "the Wall" - Drone enforced borders?

A return to child labor?

Public dress code?

National religion?

A southern, sovereign nation?

Why doesn't some white guy write up a manifesto and send it along to our
schizo in chief? He might even get a position close to the throne.

I'm committed to keeping an open mind - I'm not drawing any lines in the
sand... let's work together on this.

dire humanitarian situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo, which a UN
official described as a "descent into hell."
"For the sake of humanity, we call on, we plead with the parties and those

enable access to the besieged part of eastern Aleppo before it becomes one
giant graveyard," UN humanitarian chief Stephen O'Brien told council

French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault called for the meeting a day

[PoliticalForum] Fwd: [grendelreport] A Transatlantic Holy Alliance?

2016-11-30 Thread Travis
*http://tinyurl.com/gnkc98f *

November 30, 2016

*A Transatlantic Holy Alliance?*

By Michael Curtis

The result of recent elections in the United States and in France raises
the possibility of a new Holy Alliance, a loose alliance of the two
countries to uphold the principles and values of Western civilization by
changing the present system.

The great Marxist, Groucho, put it succinctly. "I don't want to belong to
any club that will accept me as a member." Present-day politics has its
amusing side as prominent individuals criticize the ruling "elites" or
establishment in their country, those who dominate and share in the making
of political, economic and military decisions. Criticism of the
establishment, by those within it, has become fashionable as recent
elections and statements show.

Donald Trump's campaign for the U.S. presidency did not drown because
of his constant warning he would drain the swamp in Washington. On the
contrary he floated with it. More surprisingly, British prime minister
Theresa May and, less surprisingly, Francois Fillon, a leading candidate
for the presidency in France, themselves members of their country's elite,
point out the inadequacies of contemporary elites.

On November 14, 2016 Prime Minister Theresa May spoke at the Lord Mayor's
Banquet at the prestigious Guildhall in London to a wealthy, influential
audience dining on roast beef and drinking $300 bottles of red wine. She
spoke of being aware of the downsides as well as the benefits of the
globalization process and of the tensions and differences between those who
gain and those who lose from the process.

In a manner similar to Trump, who was supported by those called
"deplorables" by his rival Hillary Clinton, May indicated she understood
the problem of modest to low income individuals who see their jobs being
outsourced and wages undercut. These individuals see and are unhappy about
the emergence of a new global elite who sometimes seem to play by a
different set of rules and whose lives are far removed from their everyday
existence.

For some time, France has been largely governed by a small group of
individuals, a self-reproducing caste drawn from those who have studied at
the same few elite schools. If Britain has Oxford and the U.S. has the Ivy
League, they are only partly comparable to the role and dominance of elite
French schools. Those schools, the Sciences-Po, ENA, Ecole Polytechnique,
and the HEC business management school, determine the careers of their
students and the leaders of France.

One of those eager to be a leader will emerge in the presidential election
in France to be held in April 8 and May 2017. Two of the major presidential
candidates have made similar statements critical of the French elite or
society. The views of Martine Le Pen, head of the Front National (FN) are
well known. She has compared events in present-day France, including mass
immigration of Muslims, now 8% of the population, to the barbaric invasion
of the 4th century, and asserts that the consequences will be the same. The
Muslim "occupation" in France weighs heavily on local residents.

Le Pen is a fierce nationalist, and prominent parts of her program are in
opposition to the European Union, the "Europe of Brussels," to globalism,
to free trade, and to open borders. One of her rallying cries is emphasis
on the "voice of people... the spirit of France." She is likely to do well
at the first round of voting, but according to polls, not likely to win at
the second round. However, the polls in France, like those in the U.S.
concerning Trump, may understate the hidden vote, whose priority is
anti-immigration.

Opposing her will be a nominee of the Socialist party, but that party and
its leader President Francois Hollande, is at present deeply unpopular.
Hollande has not yet declared if he will be a candidate to succeed himself:
his positive decision is dependent on serious reduction of unemployment in
the country. And Prime Minister Manuel Valls is in the wings.

The main opponent of Le Pen will be Francois Fillon, the 62-year-old
candidate of the right-wing party, Les Republicains (formerly UMP). Fillon
has had a 35-year-old political career, including being prime minister
2007-2012, and a cabinet minister five other times, and a parliamentary
representative of his home town, Le Mans. He had led in the first round of
the Republican primary, gaining 44.1% compared with rivals, Alain Juppe
with 28.6% and former president and his former boss, Nicolas Sarkozy who
was eliminated from the second round since he was third with 20.7% of the
vote. On November 27, 2016 Fillon won the second round of his party primary
with 67 % of the vote. The electoral slogan, similar to that of Donald
Trump, of this veteran conservative was, "we have to change the system."

*Trump and the Climate Change Clown Show*

By Brian C. Joondeph

Climate change is back in the news as President-Elect Donald Trump
threatens to roll back much of the Obama climate agenda. The Obama
administration added 229 major regulations at an additional annual cost of
$108 billion, many of which involve energy policy. The "Clean Power Plan"
is one such regulatory behemoth, jacking up the cost of energy under the
guise of saving the planet from global warming.

Of course, the left believes that Trump will mandate dirty air and water,
encouraging pollution on a mass scale. After all, Republicans prefer
living in a toxic waste dump world, exposing themselves and their families
to pesticides, carcinogens, smog, and all other forms of environmental
filth. Or so we are told.

As the debate heats up ahead of Trump assuming office, now is a good time
to take another look at the doomsday predictions of global warming and the
upcoming extinction of life on Planet Earth. That's just hyperbole,
right? Actually, it's not. A climate change scientist from the University
of Arizona predicts

human extinction in ten years.

Polar ice caps are a good barometer of global temperatures. If the ice
caps are melting, the planet is likely warming. Environmental soothsayer
Al Gore recognized this and made a bold prediction in 2008. He told

a German audience that the northern polar ice cap would disappear in five
years.

How did his prediction turn out? Not well. Al's prognostication was on
par with recent media predictions of a Hillary Clinton landslide electoral
victory.

Polar ice caps are measured via satellite, a process beginning in 1979.
Recent NASA satellite data

shows no recession of the polar ice caps since 1979. In fact, since 2012,
the total extent of polar ice is above post-1979 average. The ice caps are
growing, not shrinking. In the words of Al Gore, this is "an inconvenient
truth."

It's all much like thawing a frozen Thanksgiving turkey. If you leave it
in the garage for a day to thaw, and it's still frozen solid, it's safe to
assume that the garage temperature is below freezing.

There is nothing wrong with making predictions. This is part of the scientific
method .
This requires four steps to make an accurate representation of natural
phenomenon.

First, observe the phenomenon – in this case, what Al Gore and others
believed to be warming of the planet. Second, formulate a hypothesis to
explain the warming. One possibility is human endeavors. Another is solar
activity. Third, use the hypothesis to make future predictions, such as
melting polar ice caps. Fourth, test the predictions based on experiments
or observations.

Did the ice caps actually melt? Obviously not – meaning back to the
drawing board for Al Gore and his disciples.

What went wrong: the observations or the hypothesis? Or both?

Perhaps the original observation of global warming is flawed. Many other
scientists observe
 global cooling
instead, especially over the past 30 years. Accurate temperature
recordings are a recent technology, especially compared to the timespan of
human activity on the planet and the lifespan of Earth itself.

There may be dips and rises in a longer-term temperature trend line, much
like the drive from Denver to the Eisenhower Tunnel in the Rocky
Mountains. Despite a nearly 6,000-foot climb, there are short downhill
stretches along the road. Observing only the downhill section of Floyd
Hill, for example, one would incorrectly assume it's downhill from Denver
to the top of the continental divide, overlooking the longer overall uphill
journey. In climate change parlance, this would be labeled as a "hiatus

."

Aside from the observations, warming versus cooling, what is the hypothesis
as to what is causing the change? Some blame human activity and the
burning of fossil fuels. Others attribute temperature changes on Earth to
the Sun, our solar system furnace, a million times larger than Earth. Just
as a home furnace turns on and off at the direction of a thermostat, the
Sun has its own cosmic thermostat, well beyond our comprehension or control.

Turn down the Sun's thermostat, meaning reduced solar activity, and the
solar system cools down. European researchers predict

California is cracking down on cow farts

Via Yahoo
:
California is taking its fight against global warming

to the farm. *The nation's leading agricultural state is now targeting
greenhouse gases produced by dairy cows and other livestock.*

Despite strong opposition from farmers, Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation
in September that for the first time regulates heat-trapping gases from
livestock operations and landfills.

Cattle and other farm animals are major sources of methane, a greenhouse gas

many times more potent than carbon dioxide as a heat-trapping gas. Methane
is released when they belch, pass gas and make manure.

*"If we can reduce emissions of methane, we can really help to slow global
warming," *said Ryan McCarthy, a science advisor for the California Air
Resources Board, which is drawing up rules
 to implement the
new law.

Livestock are responsible for 14.5 percent of human-induced greenhouse gas
emissions, with beef and dairy production accounting for the bulk of it,
according to a 2013 United Nations report.

Since the passage of its landmark global warming law in 2006, California
has been reducing carbon emissions from cars, trucks, homes and factories,
while boosting production of renewable energy.

*In the nation's largest milk-producing state, the new law requires dairies
and other livestock operations to reduce methane emissions 40 percent below
2013 levels by 2030.* State officials are developing the regulations, which
take effect in 2024.

"We expect that this package ... and everything we're doing on climate,
does show an effective model forward for others," McCarthy said.

*But dairy farmers say the new regulations will drive up costs when they're
already struggling with five years of drought, low milk prices and rising
labor costs. *They're also concerned about a newly signed law that will
boost overtime pay for farmworkers.

"It just makes it more challenging. We're continuing to lose dairies.
Dairies are moving out of state to places where these costs don't exist,"
said Paul Sousa, director of environmental services for Western United
Dairymen.

The dairy industry could be forced to move production to states and
countries with fewer regulations, leading to higher emissions globally,
Sousa said.

"We think it's very foolish for the state of California to be taking this
position," said Rob Vandenheuvel, general manager for the Milk Producers
Council. *"A single state like California is not going to make a meaningful
impact on the climate."*

*Regulators are looking for ways to reduce so-called enteric emissions —
methane from the bodily functions of cows. That could eventually require
changes to what cattle eat.*

But the biggest target is dairy manure, which accounts for about a quarter
of the state's methane emissions. State regulators want more farmers to
reduce emissions with methane digesters
,
which capture methane from manure in large storage tanks and convert the
gas into electricity.

*The state has set aside $50 million to help dairies set up digesters, but
farmers say that's not nearly enough to equip the state's roughly 1,500
dairies.*

New Hope Dairy, which has 1,500 cows in Sacramento County, installed a $4
million methane digester in 2013, thanks to state grants and a partnership
with the local utility, which operates the system to generate renewable
power for the grid.

*But co-owner Arlin Van Groningen, a third-generation farmer, says he

[PoliticalForum] Thanks To 'Fight For $15' Minimum Wage, McDonald's Unveils Job-Replacing Self-Service Kiosks Nationwide

2016-11-30 Thread Kamakazee
Ed Rensi: Mr. Rensi is the former president and CEO of McDonald’s USA. As
the labor union-backed Fight for $15 begins yet another nationwide strike
on November 29, I have a simple message for the protest organizers and the
reporters covering them: I told you so. It brings me no joy to write these
words. The push for a $15 starter wage has negatively impacted the career
prospects of employees who were just getting started in the workforce while
extinguishing the businesses that employed them. I wish it were not so. But
it’s important to document these consequences, lest policymakers elsewhere
decide that the $15 movement is worth embracing. Watch on Forbes: $15
Minimum Wage, What We Can Expect ...

Obama's Final Apology

by N. M. GUARIGLIA
 November
29, 2016

President Obama began his first term with a so-called "apology tour" around
the world. The much younger Obama went to France in early 2009

and said "America has shown arrogance," that we had been "dismissive, even
derisive" of our European allies. He later went to Spain and said that
America "sought to dictate our terms" too often. He then famously went to
Cairo and apologized to the "Muslim world"-whatever that means-for
historical injustices, regardless of countervailing facts.

I could go on, but won't. The premise of these apologies was the
following: "George W. Bush was bad, whereas I, Barack Obama, will be
good." Hence the hysterical Nobel Peace Prize awarded to him just months
into his presidency-solely on anticipation.

During this apology tour, Obama would often refer to his biracial ancestry
and international upbringing-even his middle name, Hussein-as evidence that
it was safe for the world to like America again. It was all about him, you
see. His ascension to the presidency was purportedly an affirmation that
the knuckle-dragging hicks of Flyover America had finally and collectively
exonerated themselves for the sins of white people from the past. "I would
like to think that with my election... that you're starting to see some
restoration of America's standing in the world," he once opined while in
Europe. See? *With his election*. How big picture!

Just as Obama began his presidency by meekly apologizing for America
abroad, so too he ends his presidency doing the same. Last week in Athens,
during his final foreign trip in office, Obama attempted to explain Donald
Trump's victory to his European hosts. There is an "anger and fear in the
American population," Obama said, continuing
:

You've seen some of the rhetoric among Republican elected officials and
activists and media. Some of it pretty troubling and not necessarily
connected to facts, but being used effectively to mobilize people... and
obviously, President-elect Trump tapped into that particular strain within
the Republican Party and then was able to broaden that enough and get
enough votes to win the election.

This statement should invalidate all of the praise that Obama received for
the gracious way he hosted Trump at the White House two days after the
election. To go abroad as a sitting American president and tell a foreign
audience that your successor was elected due to a "pretty troubling" strain
of "anger and fear," and-as the implication goes-bigotry and xenophobia, is
an absolute disgrace. It's such a disgrace, in fact, that it should
remain-for a very long time-one of the primary things we remember Barack
Obama for: dumping on the integrity of the American people-who elected him
twice-to a foreign audience simply because he disagrees with the result of
a democratic election. To say Obama is ungrateful is an understatement.
We're just angry and fearful, got it?

As with most of the disgraceful and self-revealing things Obama has said
throughout his eight years-and there have been many-this pathetic comment
will long be forgotten.  For some inexplicable reason, Obama is Teflon Don;
he has always exempted himself (because we have exempted him) from the
normal ethical standards that the rest of us hold ourselves to.

That's why Obama can send Malia to intern with a court-jester like Lena
Dunham, who has called for the "extinction of white men
,"
without any fear of social or political repercussions, consequences, or
blowback-all the while lecturing Americans on the need to be more racially
tolerant and less divisive.

That's why Obama can tell Sasha and Malia that Trump's election represents
a "flare-up of bigotry
,"
but never showed the same concern in the pews of Rev. Jeremiah Wright's
"black separatist" church.

You remember old Uncle Jeremiah, don't you? The guy that Obama called his
"spiritual advisor" for over two decades (they would pray alone with each
other in the basement). The guy that married Barack and Michelle. The guy
that baptized Sasha and Malia. The guy whose inflammatory hate-filled
sermons somehow became the title of Obama's autobiography (at least one of
them-he has two autobiographies).

Wright is the zealot who screamed that black people killing other black
people were killing "the wrong enemy"-among many other racist, anti-white,
anti-American, anti-human rights, anti-Semitic statements. And Obama
admittedly went to this lunatic's

*DHS Wants New Facial Recognition Cameras in Airports *

[image: Description:

y Mohana Ravindranath
 November 28,
2016

The Homeland Security Department wants to install more cameras for facial
recognition in airports.

Customs and Border Protection is looking for sources to provide "mounted
facial recognition cameras" to be deployed in an "airport environment,"
according to a *solicitation*

posted
earlier this month.

Those would be procured through a "small business track" on DHS' indefinite
delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle, FirstSource II.

The cameras, to be deployed as part of an experiment at the
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, would help test the
information system supporting CBP's exit protocol for travelers.

Over the summer, the agency published a request for information about ways
to collect biometric data—pieces of information about an individual's
unique physical characteristics—as travelers are exiting the country.’’’A
robust biometric exit tracking system could help distinguish people who are
"lawfully present in the United States from those who have violated their
terms of admission." Such a system would require agents to collect both
entry and exit data, and match attributes to each other for each
traveler. It would also help ensure travelers were not leaving the country
under other people's names.

Today, some exit data is often provided by airline carriers, according to
CBP. DHS also analyzes data about the "range of encounters" travelers may
have had in the country, according to that RFI—including whether they
legally extended their stay or updated their citizenship status.

CBP has been focusing on designing biometric strategies at airports, but
eventually hopes to expand to land and sea ports, according to that RFI.

CBP has conducted a few biometrics experiments, including at Washington
Dulles International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International
Airport where cameras collect and match travelers' photos to the ones on
their passport. The agency has also distributed handheld devices to agents
at international airports to aid biometric data collection.
