Attached is a patch to update the port directly to that version (skip my
previous patch for the 1.9.6 release).
It built the package fine here in amd64 and i386.
Change $HOME from /nonexistent to /var/empty due to start up complaints:

Joshua was also very-very helpful :) ) upstream to replace the base64
functions with portable ones, so it now compiles and works on strict
aligned archs also.
