It was a problem when deleting a single node in a way with Delete (I always use Escape so hadn't noticed :) ). Fixed in the latest svn build, not deployed yet. Click somewhere empty on the map (so you start drawing a way), hit delete to cancel the drawing. Then hover over a way so it is highlighted, hold down shift and click on the way two times. Now the editor is borked. It's a really annoying bug. All other functions remain operational.
