I have bought or recommended probably 20 or so Acers over the last three
years. I have had one, a 3 yr old, where the hard drive died and was
repaired locally and 2 others which failed under warranty and were repaired
promptly and efficiently. You pay your money and takes your chance g. I
The hard disk failures have nothing to do with Acer. I had a disk failure in a
dell that was still under warranty.
