was reported by me about a year ago or so and was added to the bug list Ian
Wilson is updating regularly. You can avoid this bug by a simple amendment
in the Client99SE.ini file. This was posted as workaround:

In the Client99SE.ini under system preferences is a line called
"DisplaySplashScreen=True".
Just change true to false and there will be no splash screen anymore.
