Gary- Protel does not provide that function in their EDA software but you 
can do it at the Gerber level using their CAM software. Just load your 
Gerber files into Camtastic and go to the 'Tools/Trim Silkscreen...' command.

IMO though, its a waste of your time because most fabricators do this as a 
standard procedure. Some fabricators take shortcuts though, so if you do 
want them to do it be sure to put such a note in your fabrication drawing.

Is there an automatic way to remove or prevent overlay lines from being
