Re: [PEDA] Altium Release Protel DXP ( What is new in protel DXP?)

2002-07-29 Thread Stephen Casey

Hello all,

I've downloaded and installed the DXP trial on a Windows 2000 PC, with 384MB
RAM. When I run it, I get a message that it has generated errors, and an
error log is being created. That's it! Nothing else, and a reboot makes no
difference.

Has anybody else had it working yet?

Steve.

Re: [PEDA] Altium Release Protel DXP ( What is new in protel DXP?)

2002-07-29 Thread John Ross

Brian,

My install was OK and it is running fine (till I got peeved about the metric support
and stopped playing),

but Steve's install failed.

Both were on W2K Sp2

So you have 50/50 chance if its the d/l or the environment that was the problem.

Best Regards

Re: [PEDA] Altium Release Protel DXP ( What is new in protel DXP?)

2002-07-29 Thread Joe Sapienza

I joke not I was just trying to get the download from PADS and their server
chocked

I have been out of work for a bit and need to get reacquainted with PADS
because here in NE there is a microcosm of users that use Protel and It was
great while it lasted and better than PADS however I need to get back to
work and will have to back to the hammer and chisel approach I used it for
over 8 years before switching to Protel. I disliked it then and will.
Similarly for AutoCAD, however it is entrenched an I can do nothing about
that, looks like I will need to refamiliarize myself with both.
