I havent tried the gerber import in Protel (from Camtasic) however, if you
can not import the Camtastic gerbers, export them to dxf in Camtk, then
import them as dxf in Protel. We have dont this often with good results

I don't know if this is an option for you, but we use an old copy of Protel
ver 2.8 to convert old Dos generated gerbers into Protel databases .
It does a much better job of importing gerber than any of the new and
improved versions.
