Martin,

You may want to consider the Lite runtime.  If you're using Proto3 you
could also try use the 'Any' type to loosely couple your proto definitions.

messages so the project is not confusing and other projects are just

Only thing I can think of is that the LIBPROTOBUF_EXPORT could be renamed
