BTW, getting access to Solaris is as easy as installing Virtualbox, and downloading the Oracle Solaris 11.1 VirtualBox Template: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris11/vmtemplates-vmvirtualbox-1949721.html Cmake and gcc can then be installed from the built in oracle package
