Re: [psas-avionics] Avionics toys arrived!

2008-07-03 Thread fpmathew
I've got the hdw and sw to get DV tapes onto a computer and make MPEGs,
AVIs, Quicktimes and DVDs,etc. ...

And I've used all these a LOT in my classwork. I'd be happy to make the
conversion, and look at one of the cameras.

Also, I'm back from vacation and can spend more time with the
ARM7/Camera/Servo/OSD work together. My hope is to get these up and running
so the camera display (and maybe motion) can be controlled with the same ARM
node that manages the recovery system for the next launch.

Re: [psas-avionics] Avionics toys arrived!

2008-06-30 Thread I
I've tested both of the ATV transmitters and cameras, and both work
well. I have a couple of minutes of really cool video taken from an RC
helicopter using the system, but it's saved to a mini DV tape. Anyone
have a good way to get it off of the mini DV tape into an MPEG format?

BTW, the range test was aborted because the control radio is on
2.4GHz, and there was concern about losing the whole thing if we lost
control.
