either the tascam US122 or US144 could fit in alaptop bag. The uS144 is alittle
bigger/bulkier. They both have 2 mic/line inputs.

I assume that transport bar is in my edit window? Also, what is it doing by
hitting that button, is that actually doing the count off, or is that only
toggling it, so when I hit F12 to record, it'll do it.
Finally, if I need more than 2, how does one change it?

The control panell actually seems pretty accessible on the mac with voice

Hi Nick,
Go under the setups menu to Preferences. In the Preferences dialog, check the
box for "Insertion Follows Scrub." Also, if you want the insertion to follow
playback, there's a checkbox for that too but there's a keyboard shortcut which
is Control-n. That'll toggle the behavior.

Hi, I finally got my digi 003 working by connecting it directly to the

I can buy an express card adapter to connect the drive this way and get
faster transfer speeds. I like the fact that you can use the inserts

How is the tascam control pannel on the mac side? Is there much to it, or is it
pretty standard. With the Fast Track stuff, we deal with a completely
inaccessible control panel for changing direct monitoring and such.

Chris,
I believe the default count-off is 2 bars. In the Transport window, go to the
MIDI cluster and press the count-off button. Test it. See if it works.

Thank you Slau. That helps tremendously! I actually was wonderring myself how
to do this.
OK, one more thing I wanna know how to do:
How do I set a count off event? so for example, I want the metronome to count
on a 4/4 song, 2 bars.
So, it won't even be recording the first two bars. This
I need the eastern standard accring time, as well as the number and conference
code. I just bought A T, and have some issues I'd like to address.

Hi Gord,
Meter value is set by creating a meter event. Just as default tempo is always
120 bpm, the default meter is always 4/4. If you want anything other than that,
you'll need to go into in the Event menu under Time Operations and choose Meter
Event. There, you need to double-click on the fi

My vote in this catogory is still the tascam US122 or US144, i believe both are

Hell
Hello all,
I am getting ready to purchase protools in the next day or so. I have a
macbook pro, and I am looking for a portable interface to do work with.
Basically I am looking for one where I can record midi and 1 or 2 mikes.
Eventually, I want to upgrade my studio computer to an iMac, but
