Hi Scott,
I'm not sure exactly what you read but Pro Tools 11 and 10 can coexist on the
same partition. That's what I currently have on my laptop.

Thanks for the clarification, the release notes on the website are quite
misleading, as they indicate the current version 11. 1. And 10. 3. Was not
supported under mavericks. This is in the write up for December 23. Thanks

Sweet water has free tech support so take advantage of it! :)
I've done remote with them several times with my pt 9.03 rig.

Hi, I would call Avid support and have them remote into your system to
fix the issue to get it activated. The more we explain these issues to
them the more they will help get everything accessible even if they
don't write this software. Nick Gawronski

Hello all,
I have been reading this thread with anticipation waiting for my stupid
iLok 2 key (already had an iLok 1 from PT9 that is useless). I downloaded
the PT 11 trial to at least get back into PT prior to dropping the $400 to
upgrade from PT 9 to PT 11. I have some partial vision so I
I have the Artist Mix, which doesn't have a transport... I sort of miss
it, but I'll not lose any sleep over it.
I've used an Mbox Pro in the past, and itwas great, although it didn't
work for long, which I think was more to do with it being bstock than
because of anything else.
I now have
Chris,
Thanks for your response. Actually, if I get the artist series I plan to
purchase both the transport and the mix. How have you foun the mix to be

Hi.
Regarding the control surface question, why not go with the Mackie
control universal? You get more tactile control along with transport
controls etc for far less money, it's expandable, and it's already
ready for pro tools out of the box as pt is one of the modes you can
select on the
There is virtually no access to the ilok manager on the mac. If you have a
windows machine and have installed iLok on it, you can with a bit of effort and
tenacity, get your registration done yourself, but it is very difficult to tell
whether you have properly transfered
your key to the iLok.
I have run pt 10.9 or whatever on maverick and while some of the broken
accessibility is fixed, the program is pretty unstable and prone to crashes.

Cameron,
First of all, thank you for your response. I am by no means married to the
idea a of an artist mix/transport. I appreciate the suggestion. I am
assuming based on your response that you have one of these?
How is it as far as accessibility goes? Do you find you can use most of
10.3.8 is Mavericks compatible and stable. While I haven't confirmed this
myself, it's entirely possible that version 10.3.8 is specifically available
for version 11 owners and anyone using just version 10 can go up to only
10.3.7. which would seem a bit odd. At any rate, yes, 10.3.8 is stable
