Make sure you don't have VoiceOver's QuickNav feature enabled. Press the left
and right arrow keys together to toggle it on or off. Sounds like that's the
problem.

keep interacting with all the track controls after the VO cursor has left the
interacting area. It will act as it should until you find the track name, and
then it will go back to interacting until you stop it
