If you actually want stems, in the true sense of the word, as in one file per group of instruments like drums, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, etc. I would say the best way to do that is to bounce aux tracks, or make basic or routing folders for the stems you want and bounce those. You can
Hit shift + option command B and it will bounce each selected track in separate
files to disk. Though, I personally prefer to just do it manually, soloing up
and bouncing etc as its more control. But either way works and the first is
definitely quicker.
