You can nudge the selection end points by holding opt+shift (for start
point) and cmd+shift (for end point) and pressing plus or minus on the
numeric keyboard. Adjust the nudge value with cmd+opt and plus or minus,
also on the numeric keyboard.

I bought the faedport 8 a while ago and it works well for me. You need some
initial setup on the unit itself to select the right protocol, but then the
rest is easy to set up in protools itself.
I initially considered the 1 fader version, but I am happy that I bought
the 8 fader version.
