Just so we're clear about what's going on here, two more quotes.
First, we have I posted some questions this morning, but no one is
answerring. I understand people have jobs, lives, and are busy. I
know that. I would have been willing to wait and be patient for a
response... I still am!
I know. I wrote there, and almost 2 days out, no one is seemign to answer any
of my questions. I know they're there though as they're responding to me
regarding other things unrelated to my current problems.
Chris.

*sigh*. As I've just pointed out over on said Reaper list, the chances
are that nobody has had time to read the questions, let alone respond.
In 12 hours, you've posted over 2000 words to what is ordinarily a
fairly dry list. Dry as in to the point. Tbh, if I wasn't on a major
procrastination kick
There are 8 rows of 18 keys and as far as I know there are no tactile markings
so I think it would be real easy to get lost with a keyboard of that size.

Scott, take this with me off list if you have further concerns, however,
when the heck did I say you all didn't know your stuff. You're plainly

Not quite a control serfice but almost, any of you using or used a

As I understand it's basically a keyboard and all keys have dedicated
functions in PT, so there's no key with 2 or more functions by using
modifier keys etc. I'm just wondering if it will be useful and

It all depends on what you plan to do with PT.
Will you be recording a lot of tracks at once then mix using a lot of
plug-ins? Will you use a lot of virtual instruments?
Depending on what you want to do in PT you'll find that it's probably
not nececery to get a very powerfull machine, unless you
Sorry to ask such a basic question Tom, but you are making sure that the track
you want to edit is selected? Let me ask you this, maybe create a new track
with audio on it, go to a section of the track, press the down arrow and then

Hi Slau,
It still doesn't work.
It becomes a bit confusing for me.
I loaded the session that the protools with speech boys provides with the edit

When I make a selection in one of the tracks of this session and delete it it
works fine. But when I add a new track and record something on
Interesting comments Mac. I don't have any experience using a control surface

Yes I selected the track.

Hello, I doubt having a demonstration copy install is your issue here. When I

Tom, I was in the same boat, I migrated to PT after using Sonar for many years,
and for about the first year I struggled with PT because I kept going back to
Sonar, but at some point it all started to click and I have never looked back.
I haven't fired up a Sonar rig for over a year or more
Tom, that could be it, many demos have restrictions and that may be one.

You are confusing the Hot Key Metrix with the Editor Keys pro Tools keyboard.
The Editors Key Pro Tools keyboard is a standard computer keyboard with the Pro

keyboard. Its basically a cheat sheet for a sighted person so

Hi Brian, we've just been discussing this very control surface in another
conversation on this mailing list. I've got a BCF but I haven't been able to
try using it with ProTools yet. I should be able to give this ago in the next
two weeks. I know that you can definitely automate volume and pan,
