Chiming in here as there doesn’t seem to be much responses on this thread. I don’t own nor use the Fader port 8, however if memory serves correct both the fader port 8 and 16 should let you work with tracks in banks of 8. So you should be able to bank up and work on tracks 9 through 16 or 17

I bought Pro Tools with Speech, and followed all the tutorials. They're a bit dated now, but the beautiful thing about Pro Tools is that accessibility has only gotten better since they made those lessons, and the concepts haven't changed! Of course, Flo Tools has been a true game changer,
