working with Apogee on Element/Control accessibility

2018-06-22 Thread Slau Halatyn
I reached out to Apogee to get a loaner element interface to work on
accessibility. I'm leaving to do an orchestral project overseas next week and
will be back the second week of July. we're working it out so I receive the
gear soon after my arrival and I'll have at least a month with it, during which
I'll have an opportunity to document and grab images for some macros to help in
gaining access. More later as things develop.

Re: .TFX files

2018-06-22 Thread Slau Halatyn
Definitely more of a Komplete Kontrol question but, for what it's worth,
everything KK related deals with VSTs rather than anything having to do with
TFX files or whatever Logic uses. When the full complement of formats is
installed, Komplete Kontrol sees the plug-in along with its presets. Along the
AIR instruments side of things, freelance Sound Lab's approach takes the
presets as seen through the VST plug-in and reveals it to the KK host and
that's all captured in the NKSF. Hope that makes sense.

2018-06-22 Thread Steve Matzura
Many thanks! Got back at stupid-o'clock this morning, but went right to
the machine and checked it all out. I loaded Hybrid 3 (not with Komplete
Kontrol) and then imported one of the presets from the Prime Loop pack.
The results? Wacky stuff! But at least I learned how to do it, which was
the objective.

Now here's an interesting question which might be more Komplete
Kontrol-related. I haven't the time to try this until next week, as I'm
kind-of booked for the rest of the day and will be gone all weekend, but
I'm wondering, can these presets be imported with a Plugin loaded by
Komplete Kontrol? Since KK is the plugin of record on a track, acting
only as the host for whatever else it loads, it seems to me the answer
would be no. But you know how I tend to get things backward (ha ha), so
maybe it's possible.

Thanks again for all you do, and that times ten to the eighth for
putting up with nutty newbies like me.

One of the files I downloaded is called Tapestry. I've figured out that it
probably goes with Loom II because the download link was under that product's

Re: Accessible Drumming Plugins?

2018-06-22 Thread Des Delgadillo
It would be super cool to have a singular resource that compiles reviews and
descriptions of accessible plugins. Does something like that exist? If not,
maybe I’ll make it a project of mine.

 Hi all,

I’m a pretty new PT user and I’d like to start slow, but I hear that there
are plugins out there that I can use as drum tracks. Primarily I’ve been
recording some acoustic music but I’d like to be able to plug in an
 electric guitar as well.

Can anyone recommend a useable drumming plugin? I also have like 0
experience installing or configuring plugins beyond the default plugins
that come with PT, so any direction would be super appreciated.

Feel free to email me off-list as I feel I’ll have a bunch of follow-up
questions and would hate to clog up the list with traffic.

 Thanks so much.
