As for the real deal the "Neumann U-87" Bill Bradley modified my 87 & its
stunning, but so is the price!

audio who make a u87 style microphone for around 500 US. I haven’t used but
have their more expensive c12 and its excellent as is their customer service.
Sarm audio also makes a u87 clone which has more mixed
FYI, my last mic purchase was the Blue's Blueberry. I haven't really looked
back because it has been such a rock solid tool.
