This is a shot in the dark as I am on an Windows machine and had this
issue with Data Tools Platform' (DTP) plugin but it might work in your
situation as well so worth to try it.

Are you on windows or linux? Do you have some error in your error log?
The usual suspect is that the installation failed because you can't write at
the needed folders.
