Dear all,
is there an option to change the way superimposed spheres (representing atoms)
of different color are represented? Instead of a color gradient I would like to
have a sharp border dividing the sphere into two halfs.

PyMOL has an internal ray tracer, have you tried that? Just type "ray"
in the command line and hit enter.
