Hi Cris
Please include the ray=1 option in your png test.png, dpi=300 command or
use the set opaque_background, off instead of the set
ray_opaque_background, off command.
Commands to create a PNG file with a transparent background:
set opaque_background, off
png test.png, dpi=300, ray=1
*PNG
Yes, in recent builds (http://delsci.com/beta).
set opaque_background, off
then
draw or ray
and then save the image.
NOTE: Some graphics cards support this in OpenGL (draw command), other systems
can only do transparent backgrounds via the ray-tracer (ray command).
Cheers,
Warren

Set the ray_opaque_background to off
The PNG file format supports transparency. Render your scene with the
above, open up in an image editor and you should have a transparent
background.

Works perfectly. Many thanks. If anyone has any strong arguments for
Apple's Keynote over MS's Powerpoint, I'd be interested in hearing them
(off list or on).
Thanks again,
Doug
