neonene added the comment: On Windows, PyGILState_GetThisThreadState() returns NULL when ^C-interrupt occurs. It is from TlsGetValue() winAPI and I don't think the os's behevior is wrong. In trip_signal(), crash can be avoided by skipping PyEval_SignalReceived() if tstate is invalid
