What kind of tasks do you want them to be able to perform? On what
OS? Will they interact with version control?
As we all know, Python tends to "get out of the way", but learning
IDEs and coding habits takes a while, and learning libraries and
frameworks takes a lifetime.It's very different

To be fairly honest I for one agree with both parties. Having a CoC for an
email list is a silly idea and brings literally nothing to the table.
Now I do think Richard proved that ppl can be rude or "offensive" on the
web to a certain degree, but I do think he makes fair points about the

control properly from day one. The idea that merging into a master branch

problem. Big hairy corporate systems are often broken down now into
reasonable sized chunks that POST and GET to each other, so you don't
need quite so many layers and adapters in the code of any one of them.
