EDIT DETAILS...This causes unusedfiles to raise an exception, and there is no way to bypass it as the script only uses special:unusedfiles as a generator.

Another problem is the default edit summary is "Bot: images for elimination", however that is not the correct process for files in https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UnusedFiles , as many are tagged with {{historical}}

No error message appears. Just looks like normal. When it asks for password, it does not take (hidden) input; it just print out what I press (that is my password) and it does not continue. (I tried many times and same behavior). I do not use password_file.TASK
