Attached is a very small test image. Incidentally, the problem is with QGIS
2.16.2-1 not 2.16.1. I have only tried this on Windows with the 32-bit
network installer. The problem is definitely with gdal. If I run gdalinfo
on the image from the OSGeo4W command shell it crashes. According to the

think it started with the latest GDAL update. Loading a GeoTIFF fails on

I guess the API is still in flux. Where I formally used QgsPoint it appears

I realized that the SAGA routines were not showing up in the processing
tool box of the OSGeo4W 64 Windows QGIS 2.18.11 installation. The

I am a little concerned about the fact that when plugin developers have
QGIS 2 plugins and then create a QGIS 3.x version and upload it to
plugins.qgis.org, the plugin no longer shows up in QGIS 2 when you select
"Plugins->Manage and Install Plugins..." An example of this is the Plugin
Reloader.
I was able to successfully convert Lat Lon Tools to work with QGIS 3. The
code for QGIS 2 and 3 are incompatible so is it best to keep two parallel
developments going and to keep the release number for the QGIS 2 version at
the 0.8.x and start the release number for QGIS 3 at 1.0.0 and continue to

When a points vector layer is enabled for editing, and the "Add Feature"
tool is selected, when you click on the map you get a popup dialog ("Points
- Feature Attributes") that allows you to enter the vector layer attributes.
Is it possible to programmatically access this dialog from a plugin
Last night I tried to reproject a raster layer from a New York State CRS to
EPSG:3857 by right mouse clicking on the layer, selecting "Save As", and
specifying EPSG:3857 CRS. The resulting layer it created had invalid data
in it. I tried QGIS 2.14 and it worked fine.

I was wondering how you turn the QGIS .svg icons into .png icons that are
used in the tool bars. I have been using Inkscape and the resulting icons
that I produce starting from the QGIS .svg files don't seem to be as sharp
and clear as what is distributed with QGIS. The other thing I have found is

It has come to my attention that a few of the plugins that create memory
layer polygons do not work correctly with the Geoprocessing Tools such as
Difference. Two examples include the "New Memory Layer" plugin (which is
being replaced by core) and my own Shape Tools plugin. I'm sure that others
If I delete some of my older plugin versions, does that also delete its
download stats from the overall stats?
I don't see any reason to keep some of the oldest versions of my plugins,
but I don't particularly want to reduce the overall download stats either.
