Hi Aron,
Seems like you're dealing with large dataset?
A few things you can try.
* Make sure the datasets your running analysis on, or carrying out
spatial joins on, all datasets have a Spatial Index. This can be done by going
into the Layer Properties and under Source, click Create

Hi Sofia,
So I will start from the beginning, hopefully I understand your query properly…
1. Add your Raster to the Canvas
2. Using the Data Source Manager and Delimited Text, I add the CSV,
making sure the Headers, Columns and rows are correct, while also

Hi Andrew,
One probable solution is to save the new style as the default, for the Layer.

Hi Nuno,
As usual there are a number of ways to do this. Grass: r.resamp.stats as Em
suggested would work, but might I also suggest the Warp tool, based on
gdal_warp.
This can be found by going to the Menu bar select Raster, Projections and Warp.
Parameters:

Set this to the Raster
Hi Sibylle,
To extract the Bioregions, I suggest you utilise the option Selected features
only which is a tick box below, where you select Mask layer. All you need to do
is select, on the map canvas, the bioregion you want to extract.
QGIS is capable of loading Tiff's I use them exclusively in
Hi Simon,
Not an IT person, but there are a number of formats, supported by gdal which
don't, by default install. This is due to them requiring a separate licencing
agreement.
You will need to manually install these, in the setup app, by using the
Advanced install and under Select Packages,
Hi Richard,
You can indeed load others.
From the layer properties, select the style button, usually bottom left. Then
select Load Styles, all other styles in the database will be listed there. You
can select any other ones you set up for that layer from there.
Kind Regards,
Richard.

You can also use the processing toolbox, search for split and you should be
able to access the tool.

Hi Chiz,
The only thing I can think of is Split Vector Layer (Vector => Data Management)
that will allow you to split your Layer by attribute, outputting a DXF for each
layer.
The only issue is that you will have a series of separate Layers which you will
have to manually merge into a single
Hi,
One solution is to use Warp, found under Raster --> Projections --> Warp
(reproject)
This will allow you to specify a resolution and also change the file type.

Hi Jaume,
I'm making the assumption that your styling is saved in the Project File and
not as a Style for the Layer itself.
Might I suggest that you create a default style for each layer, this can easily
be done by going to the Layer Properties and clicking on the Style button on
the bottom
Michael,
In addition to what Nyall said, might I suggest another possible method for you
doing it.
Instead of selecting and deselecting, how about you use a virtual field? To
sort/filter the river names.
1) Using the field calculator, create a virtual field and call it,
"filter" and set

Hi Rajesh,
The SCP Plugin is now running using a new Python Library called
"remotior-sensus", which you will have to load yourself, as it doesn't form
part of the standard list of QGIS Python Library's.
Further details and instillation instructions can be found
Hi Molly,
As you are aware, the SCP uses the polygons to create classifications. As you
have already got this, you could just try Reclassify by Table.
I have not tested this for your specific requirements, but you can add in rows
for each classification and specify your ranges.
I’m not sure of
Hi Grant,
The syntax is as follows...
For three separate single band Images
-A input1.tif --A_band=1 -B input2.tif --B_band=1 -C input3.tif --C_band=1
...
For a single raster multiple bands...
-A input1.tif --A_band=1 -B input.tif --B_band=2 -C input.tif --C_band=3
..
Hi Grant,
I have not tied it, but one possible solution is to use the additional command
-line parameters to specify the Bands, it might be worth a try..

Richard

Hi Jeremy,
Garth is indeed right. MrSID is not open source, therefore it's not installed
by default.
Thankfully it's easy to install, I can only give you instructions for Windows

I’m open to correction on this, but meters would generally be the default unit

DWG files are proprietary and can have changes between versions. For this
reason, AutoCAD allows users to save there drawings to various versions

You could try:

Hi Simon,
You don't mention the field name in QGIS, but in the example below, I will use
"TEST"
Create a new field, giving it a name, it can be "RefName" if you like, you can
then create an expression like
CASE WHEN " TEST " ='symbolLayer0' THEN 'SomeOtherStringA'
WHEN " TEST " ='symbolLayer1'
Hi All,
I would like to just throw my two cents in on this.
If Raster processing is envisaged, push it out to 32 minimum 64 recommended and
128 if you can stretch.
As for Processors, you need as many Threads as you can afford, with a good base
clock.
I would agree with the use of SSD I would
Hi Grant,
My advice would be to have a shared drive, or network drive, which both
machines access with the same path.
But...in the absence of that, you could also modify your path if you prefer...
The Filepath attribute could be shortened/modified, and you can manually set
the start of the path.
Hi Grant,
Do you mean insert a GeoTIFF in?
If that's the case, then you want the following Action..
Type: Python
Description: Add Raster to Canvas or whatever you want
Action Text:
qgis.utils.iface.addRasterLayer('[%filepath%][%filename%]','[%filename%]')
For the above to work, you will need
Andrea,
I believe what Riccardo is getting at is that while an "ESRI Shapefile" (*.shp)
always will have MultiPolygon as its Geometry Type, the "Polygons" within the
shapefile are unique individual geometries.
We have this requirement in our own organisation, in reaction to Shapefiles,
there

Hi Andrea,
If you are ok substituting the method you are using for GDAL, then you can use
the following..
gdal_calc.py -A input.tif --outfile=result.tif --calc="(A>=-2000)*(A<=1500)"
--NoDataValue=-
You can also implement this in QGIS using GDAL Calculator from the Processing

Hi Riccardo,
You can use the Processing Toolbox, so a search for Promote to multipart.
This will create a new layer, which will have all geometries converted to
multipart.

Hi Gino,
Just to echo what Richard Duienvoorde said, QGIS should handle GeoTIFF

First question's I would ask would be:
1)Are you getting any error messages when you load the Raster? What are they??
2)Is the Raster

Hi,
Just to add to what Nyall said.
See link below, which suggests a way using OGR to carry out the process you

It suggests you preform your horizontal transformation first, this can be done

time you have full LOD

Hi Grant,
What I meant is that, using the Field calculation you can create new fields for
each thing you want to style. In your case you want a field for colour.
Using the field calculator you can set up a script, for example...
CASE
WHEN "class" = 'Igneous' THEN '#fc9403'
WHEN "class" =
Morning,
I'm not sure if this is a solution for you, but have you considered using
attribution and storing your styling requirements as a set of attribute values.
You can do this for Fill Colour, Stroke Thickness, Font, Sizes...etc...
You could build a graphic modeller to add the attribution to

Hi,
So the underlying data might not be very efficient, for example, no internal

1. Create a VRT of all the data you have.
2. Using GDAL Translate convert the VRT into a GeoTiff, with the following

Easiest way I can think of doing what you want is to create a VRT of the three

As an alternative to Wouter’s suggestion, I would recommend VRT’s (Raster ==>

also results in a small file size. It is also very easy to generate convert
